CPressland
Hey guys, what's up? So my 24" Monitor just arrived and it's all hooked up and running. I've got my 32" HDTV set as Monitor 2. However when playing Video in VLC full screen it'll only display on Monitor 1, how can I move the display to Monitor 2. Windows7even
you got to set it to display on the secondary display in the advanced config menu Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/748590-move-fullscreen-for-vlc-to-second-monitor/#findComment-590728414 Share on other sites
XerXis
drag the vlc window to your second screen when it's not in fullscreen mode. Then doubleclick on your video to go to fullscreen Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/748590-move-fullscreen-for-vlc-to-second-monitor/#findComment-590728418 Share on other sites

MasterC
I know you're asking for the Windows version, but see if there's something like this in the menu. CPressland
Nevermind, just done it, had to unintegrate the video from the main UI Thanks Master C, I know it's easy on a Mac, but we all know Winblows ;) I'll be hooking up my Mac over VGA eventually anyway :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/748590-move-fullscreen-for-vlc-to-second-monitor/#findComment-590728506 Share on other sites
MasterC
Aw MasterC! 3 Screens? Lucky :p I hope that helps as a visual aid to you Vegetunks. I didn't notice till now we posted at the same time! And yes, this many screens is nice. When I play videos in VLC, I have it set to clone the video so all three screens get a fullscreen video. Looks pretty cool. Nevermind, just done it, had to unintegrate the video from the main UIThanks Master C, I know it's easy on a Mac, but we all know Winblows ;) I'll be hooking up my Mac over VGA eventually anyway :) Unintegrate the video from the main UI? :| One button click on a Mac is much less confusing! stevember
the answer to this is really simple. Make sure when you open it from Explorer the file you click is already on the screen you want to make it full screen, then when you double-click it will go which ever screen you originally opened the file on. I hope that makes sense. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/748590-move-fullscreen-for-vlc-to-second-monitor/#findComment-590729122 Share on other sites
CPressland
yeah, i guess my instructions were to difficult to understand for someone who says WINBLOWS No mate, I understood your response 100%, it just didn't work. It was a DirectX related issue so of course it's not going to work with something as simple as dragging a Window. ALSO, that was the first damned thing I tried. If you've got nothing constructive to add and obviously can't take a simple joke, then I suggest you go to THIS website in future instead of Neowin ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/748590-move-fullscreen-for-vlc-to-second-monitor/#findComment-590731272 Share on other sites
