skypx
Unfortunately I installed winxp with sr2 rc2 slipstreamed. Because of that I am unable to install the 2162 build. Is there a work around for this? Thanks.
Ryan V
IMPORTANT Please read the following:? Build 2162 will be visible on the WU v5 site only if the following conditions are met: o Windows XP is the operating system o A special registry key is set ? Build 2162 may only be installed over non-slipstreamed installs of Windows XP SP2. ? Build 2162 is only compatible with the following builds of Windows XP SP2: o Windows XP RTM o Windows XP SP1 o Windows XP SP2 RC1 build 2096 o Windows XP SP2 RC2 build 2149 ? If you are using an interim build of Windows XP SP2, you should re-image your hard drive with a compatible version of Windows XP. Returning to a system restore point is also supported. So according to that, I belive there is no way to install 2162 over your slipstreamed copy. If it wasn't a slipstream copy of RC2 then you would have been able to install 2162 over RC2

Thanks though. :)
