Spyder Veteran Posted May 3, 2003 Veteran Share Posted May 3, 2003 see picture. this drives me nuts! i've only found a few icon packages on wincustomize that I like. most of them are missing a few icon replacements (help and support etc.) so I turn that off right? well this crystal one has an icon replacement for everything EXCEPT the My Videos/Shared Videos folders. what the deal with that? almost every package i've seen doesn't include a my video icon. is there a reason that i'm missing here? ps. i'm new to object desktop so i dont know many places to look for these things. i have tried finding a replacement icon.. iron2000 Posted May 3, 2003 Share Posted May 3, 2003 Just tried iconpackager yesterday and it mess up my system real good :angry: Uninstalled it and repaired the system. Anyway I tried a Bluecurve ip, there was some missing icons but I found another Bluecurve pack with the missing icons. Maybe they only make icons for what they have on their PC? Zero_the_Kamikaze_Squirrel Posted May 3, 2003 Share Posted May 3, 2003 You know, a lot of icon makers DO have the My Videos icon but it usually gets left out when they compile the package because there isn't a specific setting in the iconpackager. dreamsINdigital Posted May 3, 2003 Share Posted May 3, 2003 The My Videos folder isn't included in most because i don't think the folder is by default in XP... i noticed that it is first created if you open up Windows Movie Maker. IconPackager is a good program, but whenever i use it, my default icons never completely revert back... like the icon for .dll files doesn't change back. iron2000 Posted May 3, 2003 Share Posted May 3, 2003 Something bad always happen during my icon-changing adventures. Well, after killing and restarting explorer.exe a few times (Everything got stuck on screen when maximized, screen not refreshed) I started having problems in WinMX when I clicked open incoming files it say it can't find something and didn't open the Downloads folder. There was something occupying a lot of ram and I found that it is an iexplore.exe, I wasn't running IE why was it there? The computer became slow, I kill explorer.exe and let is stay overnight to d/l files in WinMX, woke up the next day and everything was fine again.
