Ive decided that i want to build a new PC, i have ?1000 to spend but i have no idea of the current state of hardware or whats best bang for buck, basically i want the most powerfull system i can get for ?1000, ?1100 maximum. anybody have any suggestions? Not even sure what sites are good in the uk ? Ebuyer and overclockers?

Starting from nothing, this is the main thing i dont really know which components to buy as i havnt been keeping upto date with things, i was looking at the i7 and ddr3 ram but not sure what motherboard or if that even fits in my budget there were alot of different components of the same name but really different in price :s

Uni and Gaming, Studying game design at uni so will be using 3D Studio Max / Maya, Adobe Premier

4. What size is your monitor? To SLI or not to SLI?

Currently have a 22" samsung but might be upgrading to a 24" at a later date.

5. When are you buying? Should I wait?!

I can wait till September if there is any reason to as next semester dosnt start untill then

DVI + HDMI + VGA graphics card.
