Windows 7s Hidden "7" logo in start menu ?, did you see it ?

Recommended Posts

This is a well hidden secret, but Microsoft has always hidden the version number in the windows logo. Just look at this for proof.

Its just a line along the border of the tiles in a lighter shade of the same color that has been blurred to give it an appearance of a glow. Its next to all tiles, rotated so that the corner of the tile fits into the inner corner of the glow. That it looks like a stylized 7 may be just a coincidence - a line along two sides of a parallelogram has to look like a 7. Or may be not.

I see it, but that's just a glow following the countour of that part of the logo. Perhaps if that one only glowed there'd be a chance that you're right.

Now the styling of the 7 that you see on marketing banners and such, I'm sure that was intentional and rather clever. :) I mean it fits the logo so perfectly.

I actually never realized that before, so thanks. Cool subtle detail :)

And thus, this "7" has existed in XP and Vista, as well.

Yes, this is why 7 should be called Windows Vista SE :shiftyninja:

So what, some cleverdick at Redmond noticed that if they made the XP logo glow a 7 magically appeared? What's next, "Windows r" cause I see that too.

you should really think about buying a puppy...you're spending way too much time alone. Next you'll be posting an image of a '7' you seen in a kitt katt bar.

I'm surprised this thread made it to 4 pages. There was another thread earlier talking about the cosmic connection between the Windows logo on the W7 box art and the number 7. Seriously, some of you guys need to find a girlfriend. They've used the same ****ing windows shape for years. It doesn't mean anything.
