Streaming music over Ventrilo

Recommended Posts

I have a few friends who are big on finding different kinds of music and when we are playing pwi they would like music playing i did manage to find some guidance in searching the net but with the settings the suggest are not available to me for some reason

what i found was :

First off all, go into your WINDOWS SOUND MANAGER by double clicking your speaker icon.

Go to Options->Properties

Click on Recording

Check Stereo Mix

Click Okay

Make sure the check box on the Stereo bar by Select is checked.

Turn Stereo Mix volume to 100%

In Ventrilo click Setup

Under Mixer, select your soundcard

Mux should say "Recording Countrol"

Line is Stereo Mix

Line Volume is maxed

Turn outbound to -5

Disable push to talk

Silence time .5 seconds

Sensitivity 0

Click Okay

Turn winamp volume to 15%

under recording I don't have a stereo mix option just mic under my headset and under the card I have line in, rear mic, and Mic i am using the Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 headset and just have not been able to figure this out

I have had alot of luck in finding guidance here before so figured as a last ditch effort I would try here

what I am trying to do exactly is to play songs through my ventrilo server using winamp or another music player (really have no preference) what i have been doing is just moving the mic to the headset speakers and holding the talk button am just trying to find a way to stream it directly into vent.

any ideas will be appreciated

thank you for your time
