The sense of this notifier is, that it could make use of the new funktions of the 7-taskbar! => Windoes Seven Taskbar Notifier

I use many windows and is a problem for me to have more on the taskbar. I Will continue using the standard version of Gmail Notifier ....

For this version is perfect if we can set it with Icons as Msn, Gmail notifier, Volume Control, etc...

Regards

It's working fine, but since I have my taskbar set to only combine tabs when full, the gmail notifier program takes up its own tab. 77878069.jpg

Obviously that is to be expected, but is there a way to make it run while in it's "just icon" form without having to disable the "only combine when full" ?

Wow, I'm loving this.

Is it possible to get a notification when new mail comes in? The # icon is relatively small and it's hard to notice when you have new mails. Anybody know if there's a way to get the SuperBar to flash, or a pop-up notification for this?

I am finally free of Outlook and other resource hungry clients! Yay..

Okay guys.. try Affixa and this Gmail Notifier Plus for Win7 and you are SET!

Affixa allows you to right click files in Windows just like you would with regular email attachments but it opens GoogleApps and allows you write email there. It automatically uploads to google the attachments. It works just like any system email client but it's all in the cloud.

Beautiful.

daty2k1.. the next build should definitely include multiple accounts though I guess I could run multiple instances of the app, but would be cool to solve this.

This is why I came to this thread. I'm tired of using a mail client and have gotten used to Gmail, so including this would be super.

I've found something that's a showstopper for me - when I click, for example, Compose new mail, my Firefox opens with gmail saying the password was incorrect. It may be so because my overcomplicated password ;) includes # characters andI don't think it is properly encoded in the address sent to the browser.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the lack of updates. As someone pointed out, I've been quite busy recently. I am currently working on a new version with multiple account support. Hopefully, it should be done next week!

Also, to everyone who'd like to help with the translations, thank you but I'll try to add more languages once the list of features is stabilized. I don't want to bother each of you every time I need to add a new button :)

Now I'll try to answer some questions/issues:

Nice work!

First of all, if it wasn't already mentioned, the count of unread messages isn't displayed when small icons are activated.

Furthermore I could provide a german translation :)

The problem is that Windows doesn't allow showing overlay over small icons in the taskbar. One solution was to change the icon of the application to reflect the number of unread mails but unfortunately, the icon will not change if you have the application pinned... So I'm running out of ideas for this one :(

Great application! I'm having an issue with not being able to auto-login when I click on the "go to my inbox" icon. I believe it has to do with the fact that I'm using a # in my password. Could this be causing the issue? It takes me to the gmail login page with a message " The username or password you entered is incorrect" but if I enter my password it takes me right in.

Thanks for any insight on this.

This was a bug and it's now fixed in the next version :)

First off, I just like to say this app is AWESOME and I very much appreciate it. I am however having a fairly big problem with some of the core features. Our company actually uses GMail, but with our own domain (ie https://mail.google.com/a/ourdomain.com) I can see the emails in the jump menu but when I try to open them, compose new message, or go to my inbox I get "HTTP 400 BAD REQUEST".

Am I doing something wrong? I have "shanet@ourdomain.com" set in the username field, and again I can see emails just fine in the jump menu, my problem is when I try to open it or do anything related to my actual inbox.

I hope I am explaining this correctly - thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide!

Companies domain are supported so it should work but this might also be related to the bug with special characters in the password. Let me know if this is still happening when the new version is out.

I love this app. Thanks for making it!

I think my only feature request would be that, when new mail arrives, the taskbar icon flash two or three times. I find if I'm not actively looking at the GNPlus icon, I don't notice the new mail count.

I've been working on that but I'm not really satisfied with the result. My main concern is that I can make the button flash a few times but once it's done flashing, it will stay orange until you click it. However, since clicking on the button has no effect, I don't think it would be a good idea to force people to do that.

Hello,

I would like to use this app. but didn't get it workin' so far :(

I have tried to open 'go to your inbox' with Chrome as with Firefox both get error BAD REQUEST ERROR 400.

I tried my username with and without @gmail.com didn't give any success.

I ran the program as administrator in Win7.

The version of Win7 is RTM build 7600.

My gmail account/settings are dutch.

Is there a special folder the program should be executed from or is it ok to start from dekstop?

I have these *% signs in my password is that forbidden?

Same issue, fixed in the new version :)

Would it be possible to enable this as at least an option for now? I personally wouldn't mind having to click the button to remove its orangeness, especially if it means I get notified when I get new emails :)

Well, first of all, thank you so very, very much for creating this totally amazing app! Fantastic!

I actually have two requests, but I don't know if they can be implemented. First, I would like to be notified by a sound when a new email comes in. That would be very helpful. And second, if possible, I would like Gmail Notifier Plus to be able not only to open the default browser, but an alternative client as well.

Thank you for your excellent work!! :rose: :)
