Can you make the notifier work with a "the basic theme" from windows 7 ? Some programs still give problems with the aero effects. But with with the aero effects turned off i get no form of notification. Or is there another thing i'm overlooking ? I've checked the indications for the chexboxes from the taskbar.

Can't have thumbnails without Aero for any application.

Hi, well done on this fantastic program!

I hope you don't mind me making two suggestions. Firstly, it would be great to be able to handle different labels (if each label appeared like a separate account that would be fantastic) or even just have an option to include unread mail from all folders. I have filters for some messages to skip my Inbox so these don't show up in Gmail Notifier Plus.

Secondly, it seems like there is no need to have Gmail Notifier Plus show up in the switch windows (ALT+TAB) feature as it doesn't actually have a window to display. I'm not sure if that's possible but it would make switching windows easier.

Anyway, thanks for your time and effort!

I found a small problem, I don't know if it has been reported but the notifier can't display more than 99 new emails, it stays up to there

I suggested this a while back, it was never implemented as it requires doing some work to make a bitmap into an icon.

It isn't that hard, all you have to do is write to a GDI surface and use Icon.FromHandle or Icon.FromBitmap or whatever it's called and then dispose the handle after applying it.

You'll need to PInvoke DestroyIcon or it'll memory leak.

Every time I open it, it just says "Gmail Notifier Plus has stopped working" (image below).

2cctppv.png

I have tried running normally and as administrator. I am the only user on the computer (So I am an admin), I have disabled all of the stupid security popups from Windows 7, and my antivirus program doesn't give any warnings.

I open it and about 3-5 seconds later, I get the error. No other windows appear at all.

I downloaded it from MediaFire in the main post.

Any help? :)

Do you happen to by running the Windows 7 SP1 beta? That might have something to do with it. On another note, is this program still being developed? Any upcoming updates?

I'm still poking at it from time to time. Anyone is free to fork the project on GitHub as well. We never did get the original source from the original author, so keep in mind that the source on github is exported from Reflector and still has some issues.

please add a quick reply feature. a popup box that can be activated by a reply button in each email.

then in the popup box, let us choose reply/all/forward

then type in the message and hit send or save.

convert the jumplist 'compose mail' to this fashion.

for reference, check out the gmail compose mail in Digsby IM

Thanks for this great app.

I think that the settings window should always open when you don't have any account set. The first time I opened the application (v2.1), settings window opened, when I realized a new version was available (v2.1.2) then the settings window was not oppening anymore at start. I finally found the good window but I think it would be more worry less if ppl don't have to search for it.

Hello everyone,

I would like to propose an enhancement: slightly larger taskbar icon overlay text (i.e., new mail count) or at least more intensive shadow under the number so that it can be read more easily. Alternatively, the number could be on some kind of a background element, say circle (a darker shade of the app icon colour, i.e., for red envelope a bit darker red circle with white mail count etc.).

Thanks for considering this.
