My absolute favourite is from Casablanca. The scene is in Rick's Cafe in Morocco, which outside the war zone, in WWII. A few German's are singing 'Die Wacht am Rhein' in the bar full of Frenchmen and they get drowned out by one man and then the entire bar singing 'La Marseillaise' over the top of them.

Such a powerful scene. Made even more powerful by the fact the scene used real (i.e. non-actor) Frenchmen, and it was filmed in 1942 during the war.

The scene in Crash, when the shop owner accidentally shoots the mexican guy's young daughter, the emotional expression of pain and sorrow, and followed by the surprise, shock, and relief that his daughter is ok upon realizing the gun was filled with blanks.

No scene will ever equal the emotional pull of that scene.

1: Harper's Island episode # 11: Chloe committing suicide after watching John Wakefield murder her fiance' Cal, by letting go of the bridge railing that she is holding onto and falling several hundred feet down so that John Wakefield doesn't get the satisfaction of murdering her too.

I'll have to go with this one too, and the song in the background, WOW.

Letters from the sky from Civil Twilight ;)

Valerie's Letter in V for Vendetta, such a beautiful scene

The start of Inglourious Basterds.. the way they build tension in the farmhouse is just amazing. The German officer needs an Oscar.

American Psycho, when he runs through the revolving door and then shoots the guard, it's just a brilliant piece of cinematography.

That whole ending was hilarious.

"Feed me a cat"

or when he blows up the car with a couple of bullet shots. haha

The Ring, when the horse jumps off the boat and the back legs hit as it goes overboard.

It's like, all this tension built up for the scene, and then I suddenly found myself laughing hysterically.

Also loved...

Michael: All right. This one time I'll let you ask me about my affairs.

Kay Adams: Is it true? Is it?

Michael: No.

[Kay smiles and walks into his arms]
