It was not THAT bad, but that said it looks totally deliberate and he (Adebayor) should be banned from football for at least 4 or 5 games if not longer! The man?s brain must be the size of pea if he thinks that with modern day video scrutiny that he can get away with that sort of thing!

Good result for my side, Villa and not so good for the Evertonians!!

I can't stand adebayor. He is a sulky, whiny arrogant tossbag. Just wait till he falls out of favour at City and starts crying again. Also, that stamp was horrible, he fully deserves a large ban for that, and taunting the Arsenal fans... just sheer stupidity, I hope for his sake that he steers clear of London for a few years

I Hope that chelsea gonna be champion this year en take the champions league to. they deserve it!.

and why do they deserve it? Explain plz.. with examples if possible.. coz I don't see anyone deserving trophies more than Arsenal ATM.. we have waited 5 years almost supporting this great club hoping the glory days will return..

anyways.. back to Ade and goal celebrations :D

That's the correct way to stop a goal celebration..

I could ask you the same question? You ridicule his opinion, yet post pretty much the same thing, just because Arsenal have been out of the big time for 5 years. So explain with examples please

Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor has been hit with two charges by the Football Association after his side's 4-2 win over former club Arsenal.

The 25-year-old striker is charged with violent conduct relating to his alleged stamp on Robin van Persie and has until 1800 BST on Wednesday to respond.

He also faces a charge of improper conduct for his goal celebration in front of the Arsenal supporters.

A separate date will be arranged for a commission to consider the latter.

The FA has also asked Greater Manchester Police and the two clubs to identify supporters involved in any violent and aggravating behaviour.

English football's governing said said in a statement that it "would like to see anyone found guilty of such behaviour face action through the legal system and banning orders from football."

If Adebayor is found guilty for his challenge on Van Persie, under the FA's new fast-track disciplinary system he would be handed a three-match ban that would result in him missing Sunday's derby against Manchester United.

Referee Mark Clattenburg advised the FA that he did not see the incident, but confirmed that, had he done so, he would have sent Adebayor off for violent conduct.

Police have also received a complaint over the behaviour of Van Persie, who is alleged to have celebrated his 62nd-minute goal in front of home fans at Eastlands and mouthed a swear word towards the City supporters.

Greater Manchester Police say they will speak to the supporter who has made the complaint and will then decide whether or not to investigate.

AHahahahah what a fantastic game! Giggs was absolutely wonderful, he shows the all town that a classy player never gets old. Fletcher was everywhere and knows how to aim the empty space of the goal, he should teach Berbatov one or two things. Calm down Dimitar, you were good, but Given was better. And Owen scoring the winning goal is just the cherry on top of the cake of a spectacular afternoon. Our defense gave them two goals (WTF Ferdinand?) and the extra time was a bit too long, even I admit it. But the victory is fair, we were trully better in the second half.

liverpool is not playing that well, but my god fernando yesterday was unbelievable. Kuyt might have taken a goal away from stevie g but i think it was the right call to deflect the ball in. Wasn't that impressed with liverpool yesterday, especially jamie carragher who had one of his off/lazy games, but it wasn't too bad.

A win is a win :)

I wonder if the Mancs will get in trouble for:

1) The coin throwing incident,

2) Fan entering the field of play,

3) Neville running down the touchline and antagonising the City fans,

Will they? Nahhhh...
