Human Meat Eaten In Japan

Recommended Posts

Animal meat looks amazing and tasty but human meat? just does not cut it :s

Why? We are no different meat than other animals!

No, seriously, it disgusts me, but it's still true. What's different in the end? There are some species out there who eat their partners after having kids... it's really strange, but what can we do about it ! :p

The sad thing about this story is - and if you are Japanese please don't be offended, but seeing some of the stuff that's come from Japan recently I could honestly see this take place lol

>_< The stupidity in that sentence is mind numbing.

It's the equivalent of a Japanese person saying:

"The sad thing about this story is - and if you are American please don't be offended, but seeing some of the stuff that's come from the US recently I could honestly see this take place where you guys would just eat these things since you would eat anything and more than 50% of the population is overweight/obese. lol"

Stop watching all the messed up anime/hentai, LOC. It's showing. ;)

at first read of it, it seemed rather strange. But when you think about it, (like some others said) we aren't any different than any other animal. If you can get past the mindset of "i'm eating human meat" its probably not bad.

Yea but we don't usually eat "old" meat. The meat we eat is usually from young animal that just finished growing

But we should show more respect for humans than for animals. The body of a person deserves respect if for no other reason than it forms the essence of someone who was loved and appreciated.

When I see this kind of idea being put up I realize we still need religion in the XXIth century; it's probably possible to have ethics outside of religion, but logic just isn't for everyone, and if arguments aren't backed by divine authority you'll see primitive instincts soon taking over civilization. Cannibalism is the sign of primitive tribes, or loose groups in situations of extreme deprivation, okay ?

Cannibalism has often been practised as part of religious sacrifices and various other religious activities.

Anyone who needs a religion to morally guide them is a fool. Do good for goodness sake, not because you're told to by some "divine entity".

Why [should we have more respect for humans than other animals]?
Because we are humans, a social animal whose primary ambition is happiness, which requires respect of self and others. If you can't accept that, I have nothing more to say, it's just an axiom of ethics.

I guess I could make a better point but... dude !

In primitive cultures, where religion had not much to do with what it represents for most people today.

Yes, silly primitive culture like the Mayans who were centuries ahead in development in astronomy, mathematics and culture to that of the glorious "west".

Religious people today still think jesus appears to them in a toast. Seriously, there's not much to add to that.
