Rappy Veteran Posted June 4, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 4, 2009 (edited) Season Six Description Oceanic Air flight 815 tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island, leaving 48 passengers alive and stranded on a remote island in the South Pacific. The survivors include a diverse group of people from different walks of life -- a doctor, an escaped fugitive, a con man, an Iraqi interrogator, a married Korean couple and a man formerly confined to a wheelchair who is now inexplicably healed. As the castaways attempt to get home, flashbacks (and forwards) illuminate their troubled lives before and after the crash, as the island they find themselves stranded on begins to slowly reveal its mysterious nature. Faith, reason, destiny and free will all clash as the island offers opportunities for both corruption and redemption... but as to its true purpose? That's the greatest mystery of all. The survivors discovered that the island holds many secrets, including a mysterious smoke monster, polar bears, housing and hatches with electricity and hot & cold running water, a group of island residents known as "The Others," and a mysterious man named Jacob. They've found signs of those who came to the island before them, including a 19th century sailing ship called The Black Rock, a downed Beechcraft plane from a failed drug run, the remains of an ancient, four-toed statue, as well as bunkers belonging to the Dharma Initiative -- a group of scientific researchers who inhabited the island in the recent past. The survivors also encountered a freighter stationed off the island that some thought would lead to their rescue, but ultimately almost caused their extinction. And Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and Claire's son, Aaron -- known as the Oceanic 6 - actually escaped the island and made their way back into the world. But their stay turned out to be short-lived since the island wasn't through with them, yet. With only 18 original hours left until the final episode airs in 2010, the island's violent shifts through time were ended by Locke when he traveled off-island in an attempt to persuade the Oceanic 6 to return. Back on the island, the survivors' stay in late '70s Dharmaville was over when their covers were blown and they were accused of aiding "The Others," and Sayid was gravely wounded during their flight. In addition, Ben killed Jacob at Locke's request. But since Locke's body was found to still be inside the coffin, exactly who - or what - is John Locke? And if Juliet was successful in detonating the hydrogen bomb, was she able to reset time, allowing Oceanic Air 815 to land safely in Los Angeles, or was the island destroyed along with all of its inhabitants? The band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against all odds if they want to stay alive. But as they have discovered during their journey, nothing is what it seems, and danger and mystery loom behind every corner, with even those they thought could be trusted turning against them. Even heroes - and leaders -- have secrets. "Lost" stars Naveen Andrews as Sayid, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Emilie de Ravin as Claire, Michael Emerson as Ben, Jeff Fahey as Frank Lapidus, Matthew Fox as Jack, Jorge Garcia as Hurley, Josh Holloway as Sawyer, Daniel Dae Kim as Jin, Yunjin Kim as Sun, Ken Leung as Miles, Evangeline Lilly as Kate, Terry O'Quinn as Locke and Zuleikha Robinson as Ilana. "Lost" was created by Jeffrey Lieber and J.J. Abrams & Damon Lindelof. Abrams, Lindelof, Bryan Burk, Jean Higgins, Elizabeth Sarnoff, Edward Kitsis, Adam Horowitz, Jack Bender and Carlton Cuse serve as executive producers. "Lost," which is filmed entirely on location in Hawaii and premiered on September 22, 2004, is from ABC Studios. Techno_Funky
Question: I miss Claire on Lost. Emilie de Ravin is such a great actress. Will she be back for all of next season? --KellyAusiello: Yes! After sitting out last season, de Ravin will return as a full-time series regular for Lost's sixth and final season, Team Darlton confirms. "Damon and I are very excited to bring Claire back to the show," says Carlton Cuse, "and even more excited for people to experience just how she will return." And even more exciting that that? Experiencing Doc Jensen's theory on how she'll return. Take it away, DJ: "Any scenario that brings Claire back to Lost must address the mysterious circumstances of her disappearance at the end of Season 4, in which many of us were led to believe that she was as dead -- or rather, undead -- as the Ghost Christian that's been haunting The Island since Season 1. So here's one thought: Juliet changed time in the season finale by detonating Jughead, and Season 6 will tell the story of the new timeline, one in which Claire is alive. Another thought: In light of the revelation that John Locke was actually a supernatural impostor for half of Season 5, perhaps in Season 6, we'll get a storyline in which Claire just emerges out of the jungle, with no memory of what happened to her -- just like Season 1 -- and we and the castaways will be left to wonder: Is this the real Claire or another impostor infiltrating them a la Locke? Heck, maybe that's going to be major idea of next season: Who's really alive and who's really (un)dead? It really will be the fabled! zombie season of Lost!" Thanks a million, Doc! (EW) Hell Yeah!! :D (Y)
Rappy Veteran Posted June 10, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted June 10, 2009 Matthew Fox was interviewed in Monte Carlo Well the interview has several little minor spoilers and tidbits about season 6. Nothing too shocking, but still some interesting details. Fox, once again confirmed that he knows the end of the show and this time I got the sense he knows it really well. Here is a little summary of the tidbits: 1) He knew that that Jack and Locke would have to go head to head quite a bit in Season 6. Now if he is talking about the real Locke or Darth Locke who knows? At least we will get a good dose of Terry O' Quinn. 2) The opening scene in Season 6 will confirm what happened in the Season 5 Finale and that it will be both confusing and surprising at first. 3) About a third of the way through the season both time lines will be "solidified into one time" and there will be one linear time throughout the story on the island with no more flashbacks. 4) When describing the end of the show he uses several different adjectives. He confirms talking to Damon Lindelof many times about it and that each time he does that it is surprising that it is so "moving". Some of the words he uses are Beautiful, Redemptive, Sad and ends with saying it is just Awesome!

Rob2687
ABC grants a little extra time to wrap up the mysteries.by Eric Goldman June 26, 2009 - If you love Lost and are lamenting the series coming to an end next year, then I've got good news for you ? we're going to get one extra hour for Season 6. Previously, ABC and Lost showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse had said Season 6 would be comprised of 17 hours total, but now EW's Michael Ausiello reports, via Twitter, "ABC confirms that Lost's sixth and final season will total 18 hours, including two-hour premiere and two-hour finale." Season 6 was actually going to originally be made up of 16 hours, until the writers' strike shortened Season 4, so this is the second time another hour of the show has been added to the final year. No exact date has been announced for Lost to return, but presumably it will be in January once again. http://tv.ign.com/articles/999/999005p1.html

Mathachew Veteran Posted June 29, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 29, 2009 Major w00tage right there! I started watching the series from the beginning almost two weeks ago. Nearly done with the first season, seeing some clues that I didn't pick up on originally but picked up on in later seasons. We're half way through the first season and have my father-in-law hooked. I said it before: best show on television :D
Pallab
Read about this a couple of weeks back at DarkUFO (it wasn't confirmed at that time though). Anyway, its great news. But I hope they do answer some seemingly ignored questions like where did the bloody children go and why did the others kidnap them? They showed cindy all of a sudden in s3 without revealing anything more about her.
