What was the last movie you watched?

the hurt locker. Good movie albeit unrealistic in many aspects.

Really.... unrealistic in what aspects?

I watched it with my buddy that got back from Iraq three years ago. He actually said that he met people as crazy as the lead character.

We both liked the movie, and he said that the scary part of serving in Iraq was the not knowing what will happen the next day... Sometimes they would sit in the base for days waiting for orders, sometimes they would just drive on some stupid mission in the desert, and sometimes they would be in the middle of fire.

Anyhow, I loved the movie.

Cheers

Two films in rapid succession:

Alice in Wonderland in 3D: this was very good. It twisted and turned in ways that kept me going. I would definitely recommend it!

Percy Jackson: I don't think this can replace Harry Potter, which is what I had previously gathered was the point (it's directed by Christopher Columbus, the director of the first two Harry Potter films), but I enjoyed it. It seemed a bit less earnest than the Harry Potter films, and so it was more slapdash and also ironic (unintentionally so?). I was sitting in a cinema with some people who made lots of noise throughout (eating and with a baby crying on and off). Still, it was an enjoyable film.

My last movie was "The Hurt Locker" and - surprisingly - I didn't find it that good. I'm not saying the movie was bad, I've just seen many which were better. Let's say it's just not my cup of tea.

Ben-Hur - It was on Sky and Id never seen it. It was so nice to watch a film that didn't set out to be a franchise or have lines they could use in adverts for Burger King. Ive been watching a lot of the big films from the 60's over the last few months, I just became so let down with the films of today and the usual preset format they use to get the most viewers possible.
