Singh400 Posted December 20, 2010 Share Posted December 20, 2010 Machete (HD) ? An absolutely awful film. It should have stayed as a fake trailer in Grindhouse. The acting is dire. The lines are cringe worthy. The gore is not very gory. What you essentially have - after you account for all of the previous, is a 105 minutes of complete and utter boredom. Matrix XII Posted December 21, 2010 Share Posted December 21, 2010 The Beach (2000) - 5/10 - This movie had a lot of potential but fell short. I felt the movie was disjointed, it didn't know what it really wanted to be. The scenery was beautiful and I thought Leo gave a pretty strong performance given the script wasn't that good and the whole movie didn't really work well. There were a few scenes that could have been removed, which added to the movie feeling uneven. I wouldn't say it's unwatchable though, I thought that the setting of the film alone made it watchable. I like Leo as an actor so I thought the Beach deserved a viewing. Don't expect anything great as far as storyline, but there is a small amount of face value.
