MightyJordan Posted March 26, 2012 Share Posted March 26, 2012 Was lucky enough to catch an advance screening of this, and all I've got to say is WOW. What an amazing movie. One of the best I've seen in a long time. It's a horror/comedy film, but I'd say the ratio of horror to comedy is about 20:80. It's got a lot of comic relief in it; so much so in fact, that you have may trouble taking the serious horror parts seriously. :p The story is predictable at times, but you get the feeling that it's meant to be deliberate. It's written by Joss Whedon too, which is the main reason I decided to check it out; if anyone here's a fan of his work (in my case, it's Firefly/Serenity), then I'd definitely recommend checking it out. 9/10. Some of the effects were great, some of them were pretty bad. I've always been a fan of slasher movies though, however bad they are. I just wish the final fight with Freddy lasted longer near the end. :[ Overall I'd give it a 6/10.
