Let Me In.

Everything good about Let Me In, is lifted from Let The Right One In (including shot-for-shot scenes). Everything bad, is new to the film.

Basically - here?s everything bad:

Reeves? has removed the ambiguity of the ?relationship? between Eli / H?kan, or in this film, Abby / ?The Father?. In the original you?re left up to your own opinion as to how exactly H?kan and Eli come to meet (though not, to be fair, if you?ve read the book, in which it?s detailed), and what exactly that means for Oskar - is he doomed to become ?another H?kan? - perhaps himself, just one in a long line of ?Facilitators? for Eli(as), or is the relationship between them (Eli / Oksar) something different).

In Let Me In, there?s no such questioning. Reeves without actually having ?his characters? say so, specifically paints the picture, that Owen, is simply ?another link in the chain?, if that makes any sense. He?ll look after / be with Abby for a set period of time, then out of necessity, will be replaced with the next one.

* The Special effects are awful. They weren?t very good in Let The Right One In, but that cost less than the catering budget for Let Me In.

* The Music. Everything that?s ?cheesy? about Hammer Horror Music scores, is present and accounted for, in Let Me In.

In short - Rather than spend money on seeing in at the cinema, use that money to buy Let The Right One In on Blu-Ray / DVD, and use the 'popcorn money' to pick up the original book.

Let The Right One In

It was one of the best horror films I've ever seen and I've seen a fair few!

Amen to that.

Just watched Saving Private Ryan again, when i ripped it originally i was a noob to converting Blu-ray to x264 for my media NAS so i just reripped it and i was checking the quality and i ended up sitting and watching it all. Amazing film, some American cheesefest parts but it always makes me sad at the cost of war, what has gone before and whats happening now in Iraq/Afghanistan.

Sure did, in the cinema last night. Not a potter fan to be honest, nothing else on and wanted to make the most out of our unlimited cards, dragged on, pretty boring and just generally quite gay.

have you seen the others?

FYI - Quite gay:

So unless I blinked and missed a bit of man on man action, Harry Potter (sadly) can't really be called 'quite gay'.

Unless you mean gay in a derogatory sense.

Either way, that poster has reminded me that I've gotta finish off my Christmas Shopping.
