What was the last movie you watched?

Kingdom of Heaven, Directors Cut.

Ill emphasize the directors cut part as those extra 40 minutes made for one helluva better movie then what was out in theaters.

that's one of my all time favourite movies, the directors cut that is...epic film (Y)

TRON: Legacy (IMAX 3D) ? Went to see this yesterday at Birmingham IMAX in 3D. To be honest, I found the whole thing off beat. The dialogue sometimes fell to bits, and at times cringe worthy ? ?he?s different? ? no **** Sherlock. He is a User, not a Program as he tried to tell you. That Zeus character was a complete joke. Olivia Wilde was completely underused, she is a fantastic actress, and they let her waste away.

The 3D was lacklustre. I don?t want constant in your face moments, but the ones that were, were few and far between. However, I think is down to more of the fact that 3D was used to give depth to the on screen image rather than in your face moments. And this wasn?t helped by having no contrast on screen. Because the ?The Grid? is quite plain and I guess, it?s hard to convey depth with only one or two colours.

The action was amazing; the sound track was amazing (I?m listening to it now). The CGI was fairly awesome as you would expect in 2010. How CLU was rendered was pretty fantastic (new process?). Bridges was brilliant. As for the dude who plays Sam, I can?t really comment. Because I don?t think I?ve ever seen him before in another film.

All in all, I prefer the first one. That will always remain one of my childhood favourites (which I also rewatched last night after seeing #2).

7.5-8.0/10 (down to mainly the soundtrack and the action sets)

Kingdom of Heaven DC - one of my all time favourites films, ever.

Went to see Tron Legacy.

I hadn't seen the first one, and I dunno I mean, the effects and the few and far between action sequences were pretty good. The way I look at it.. a movie about a train (unstoppable) was far, far more entertaining. On that note, Unstoppable = amazing movie.

If I had to rate it.. 7/10 mostly due to the cool effects, and great DP Soudntrack.
