Watched the first one with some friends, then we went to the cinema for Legacy. Both 8/10, what the first one lacks in visuals it makes up in the story and it's the other way round for the new one :) . Great soundtrack by Daft Punk.

skyline and what a stupid movie. I turned it off half way through, I couldn't do it anymore. It deserves the 4.6 rating it's getting on IMDB. of all the main characters in the movie, which one dies first. The black guy, obviously... and sweet, the monsters are just bigger versions of aliens from aliens, that's never been done before  the movie wasn't even worth my bandwidth...

before that was tron, which i didn't really care for and i already explain why in another thread. I got half way through old boy and fell asleep and never went back to it.

I also watched this:

I went through and watched the two most recent Batman films yesterday (Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight).

Batman Begins, well, I got bored and stopped watching about half an hour from the end, but I still managed to last an hour and 3/4. It was extremely long-winding, and there wasn't enough action in it to keep me interested. 4/10

The Dark Knight, much much better! I can see why almost everyone was praising it. It's such a shame that Heath Ledger is no longer with us. :( I loved his performance as The Joker. I didn't think The Dark Knight would be a great film, because it's so much grittier than the previous ones, but I was wrong. I still think my favourite one is Batman Forever, but The Dark Knight is definitely a close 2nd. 8/10

If you've seen the Essex Boys or Rise of the Footsoldier then you'll know what this film is based on, not as good as either of those films but its good to see it from a different perspective.. 6.5/10

I don't know if it's just me being older now, but I didn't really like this one. It had a couple of good moments, but it was just mostly average. It was also pretty dark compared to the previous two, which was surprising.

Mightyjordan, i felt the same about Toy Story 3, although i still do enjoy the first two..

Am I the only one who held back tears when

Andy gave them away

:( I thought it was a pretty good ending to the franchise.

I kinda felt it was pretty ambitious and all, but really hollow in the core when it comes to the story.

The Rotten Tomatoes summary says it all

With Never Let Me Go, Mark Romanek has delivered a graceful adaptation that captures the spirit of the Ishiguro novel -- which will be precisely the problem for some viewers.

The story was kind of chaotic, at first I didn't know what the movie was about, but I never saw any actual plot holes, so imho it was pretty good.

Oh, no, im not arguing about that. Plot was solid and rather straighforward. It was just that it was going nowhere. Its like, life sucks and then you die. But anyhow. Atleast it was pretty :D

Who says we're arguing  And you're kind of right, but it's good to see something depressing once in a while to get away from those Hollywood happy endings. And it does try to answer the question how far is it ethical to go in pursuit of health / improving medicine. Technologically we might get to the point where, what has been shown in the movie is gonna be possible.

And yes it was pretty :p Kind of weird that it was almost sci-fi when it comes to some ideas, but set in the past.
