The New Me.

I was trying on a new shirt that I ended up buying for a work-related dinner / silent auction I was going to be attending with my gf.

Typical work 🐴 shirt and also not fitted correctly at all.

I am sorry but people really should try to wear fitted shirts not this loose garbage that is clearly meant for a person twice your size...

It is a pet peeve of me.. I only wear trimmed stuff and it looks 10 times better and I just don't get people who cannot wear clothes that are matching their size correctly.

I mean, look at those sleeves.... You can fit 3 of your arms in them. And I am not advocating skinny clothes - just appropriate to your body.

Anyway - negative Nelly checking out. But dude. Get a better shirt.

I am by no means a man of fashion, so when I saw the photo I thought the shirt was pretty good. Then you pointed out the sleeves, and I agree that they seem way too baggy.

But, given the subject of this thread that's a great thing!

Considering that I was a tall skinny guy most of my life until 30s hit and I started been able to get fat...

I had to wear clothes that don't fit me. I am glad I don't have to do it anymore because I have grown in my girth ;) and the problem vanished.

Time for the "Popcorn Diet". (In the picture 160.4 is Sunday 156.8 is Tuesday)

Usually, 4 or 5 days before a holiday where I know there will be a lot of food, I do what I like to call "Bank the weight / get a buffer"

Loose 4lbs, but how do I personally lose that much so quickly? I have found that (for me) The "Popcorn diet" works the best.

1) 7:30 - 7:50am Breakfast - 1 cup shredded wheat 1 cup old fashion oatmeal hand full of Breakfast blend trail mix (sold at Walmart) with unsweetened Almond milk! I call that breakfast "Colon blow"

2) 9 am - Morning Ice coffee with 1/2 cup sugar-free French vanilla 1/2 sugar-free peppermint creamer and sometimes with some whipped cream on top. Then I'll sip on that from 9am till around 2- 3pm

3) 2pm - 2:30pm A big bowl of Popcorn in a Microwave popper (not the Microwave popcorn bags). Then I add some unsalted butter.

That's it for the day. The next meal is breakfast the next day

If someone reading this would also like to attempt this same thing, let me know how it works for!

My Superman look. No glasses, longer hair and the start of a beard (4 days)

Man, get a hair cut you flipping hippy! :)

Actually, I can see that is longer hair for you, but personally, I couldn't stand having my hair that short. I like hair to much, especially since most of the males in family are almost bald.

It actually got much longer after that photo. Then I cut it again.

Had an eye appointment Tuesday and got new glasses. They haven't arrived yet. These are just the ones I picked out.

My current lens are from 2005 😁

My current glasses were on the floor with me when I was taking apart an AIO computer and my elbow landed on them and broke them ...

Yesterday afternoon I got my ass kicked by a rug. Slipped on the rug at the bottom of the stairs and went down face first, smacking my head on the bottom step. What you see are just nasty carpet burns.

Somehow my glasses survived and ended up on the next step!

🤔 I think it's a marked improvement :D

In all seriousness glad you're okay.

BTW notice the brutal irony from your photo in march? :D  Someone needs to revise their safety training 😛

From an old guy who has had about a half-dozen painful falls in the past year (one just last month), be careful, dude! 😬

I tend to be a fast mover. When I walk past my kitchen counter sometimes things blow off the top.

Have a piece of carpet at the bottom of my stairs also. I've landed on it a few times and felt it slide as I stepped on it. Haven't ever bit the dust, yet, but I think about it whenever I go downstairs. That must've been a heck of fall and collision with step. Don't know your age, but you better start learning to be more careful with those falls. Things tend to hurt a lot longer as you get older! :)

Almost 43. My big toe on my left foot is sore and my neck is sore, but it's getting better. You and I need to buy those non rug slider things you put under them.290298530_608272940497885_904846291617445486_n.thumb.jpg.f7f73c1c5b20a04ebd1bc749e6e0dc81.jpg

This is the step-in question. The rug was to the right, right in front of that door.

Changing the style of your glasses even once.

I like the ones I have - I have about 5 pairs prescription - normal and sunglasses

But damn if I am buying identical pair to the one I had. Whats the fun in that...

Saw a commercial earlier about 2 sided tape, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083C5WXWV?tag=rx06-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1 and it actually made me think of your topic here. Commercial even showed it taped to rugs!

I have a bad habit of skipping the very bottom step when I get down to second from last step, so that puts a little extra force on the rugs moving when I land. I DO consciously think about that every time!

Only 43?! Heck, you're almost still a kid to me!! :)

That sounds like me...a few years ago! I've had my share of falls and such over the years, but my instinct is still to zoom up or down a flight of stairs, but in just the last year or two I've had to slow down, after spending a week in the hospital for dehydration and balance issues after taking a few tumbles. But up until my mid-fifties, I moved like lightning. Now, not so much. 🥴

This thread maybe scaring off our user base, are you planning on posting forever? Not sure what the point is, and I don't mean to annoy with that question. Lol
