Sean B. Veteran Posted October 24, 2009 Veteran Share Posted October 24, 2009 I'm currently working on an editorial with some of my favorite Windows 7 features, and need the communities input as well. What are you favorite feature(s) in Windows 7?

Yusuf M. Veteran Posted October 24, 2009 Veteran Share Posted October 24, 2009 My favourite feature has to be HomeGroup. It makes sharing printers, files, pictures, and documents easy. That, and Aero Peek which comes in very handy when you want to cut through desktop clutter.

Brendando
Superbar and Aero Peek (Alt-Tab iteration being the most useful, much more so than Flip3D *which is ugly as sin*)
medicnick83
I never played with VISTA, I was always a XP fanboi, so coming to 7 has been a interesting experience (to say the least) but having said that, I love the 'gadgets' feature... it's old (from Vista) but it's still cool for me ;) I also dig the "Sticky Notes" ;)
Billus
Aerosnap, so much easier to browse the internet, take notes, compare and have Word open next to it to do assignments.

Calum Veteran Posted October 24, 2009 Veteran Share Posted October 24, 2009 Sean, could I class all of the taskbar improvements as one feature? :p The new taskbar is my favourite thing about Windows 7. My second favourite feature is Aero Snap; it is extremely useful :)

hdood
Win+P, the Aero snap thing, being able to drag and drop on command prompts again, and believe it or not, the ability to finally disable window shadows. In fact, I'd upgrade to 7 just to get rid of the god damn window shadows. I know it may sound absurd, but I'm not crazy.
san.W10
1. Jumplist, with the option of Pinning folders to it. 2. Aero Snap, effortless to arrange open windows. 3. Aero Peek + its placement. :D 4. Search (from start button) - its more efficient now. 5. Library - especially the Music Library. (Arange by artist/Album/genre...)
