Nabooy
Hello everyone, I was wondering if it's possible to have the BlackBerry service for the latest Nokia E72 and all its features? Any idea about this or I can find more information regarding this? gigapixels Veteran Posted December 4, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 4, 2009 BlackBerry service is exclusive to the BlackBerry devices as they connect to their own data network. Do you simply mean smartphone-like features, such as email and such? suicide_pact
I'm guessing no without actually knowing much about the Nokia E72. The BB services are locked to BB handsets as far as I know of. Nabooy
Sorry for the confusion guys, but I was actually referring to BlackBerry Messenger (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/features/im/blackberry_messenger.jsp) for the Nokia E72. Is this any possible with E72 or do I have to check with my phone provider or something? Also, how about having Windows Live on my E72 too http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/features/im/wlm.jsp Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/851462-blackberry-service-for-nokia-e72/#findComment-591939268 Share on other sites

So that's a no on the Blackberry Messenger. Damian
Actually, you can get BlackBerry services on your Nokia E72 with BlackBerry Connect. This allows you to receive push email and calendar on other devices with your blackberry service-enabled simcard. BlackBerry Messenger is only available on BlackBerry devices. Download Link (choose E90 as your phone model) Windows Live for Nokia is available here: Download link Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/851462-blackberry-service-for-nokia-e72/#findComment-591940624 Share on other sites

Nabooy
In that case, can't I just order a PIN number for the BB Messenger so I can start using it on my E72 or something? No.. Blackberry PIN's are built into the specific device. If you want blackberry device software... why don't you just buy a blackberry? morebaker
Ya if you buy a BlackBerry and subscribe to a BB plan you can put the sim card in any phone. But you will not get any BB services just data. I do it all the time from my Bold 9700 to my kids phone for downloads. I'm not really a BB fan so that's why I prefer the E72 but I can't hesitate the BB Messenger that it got though. But you do get a PIN if you install BlackBerry Connect. Only Messenger is missing. PINs are available to every BlackBerry service enabled device. Not just BlackBerry hardware. Damian
No, because the BB Messenger app is only available on BlackBerry. The only way to use BBM is to use a BlackBerry.
