Mr Winkle
as you can see from the screenshot, i have the file type .pas configured to be indexed with the plain text filter, yet if i select the view mode as 'content' a content preview is not displayed for .pas files, but it is for .txt files, even though they are indexed with the same filter. is there a way to make the .pas file behave in the same way? Buendia
Have you tried accessing Indexing Options -> Advanced -> File Types -> select .pas and select 'Index Properties and File Contents' Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/852770-windows-7-search-question/#findComment-591938518 Share on other sites
Mr Winkle
sorry, i think i didn't explain myself too clearly... what i meant was the 'content preview' in the list of files which the search terms highlighted... in the middle of the window above. if you look at the screenshot, the .pas files only list the name, the text file has a preview. i have indexed .pas files and i can search using terms contained within them, so i know that side of things is working. it's not only .pas files, .js files are another file type which doesn't have a 'content' preview. the utility posted by tuxplorer - will this solve my issue ?
