How old is your laptop/desktop?

11 YR Old desktop computer with

256mb ram

8.75gb hardrive

450mhz intel pentium 3 processor

8gb video card

and i use it every day

Nice graphics card for such an old machine ;)

My Dell Inspiron 1520 is 2 years old (Core 2 Duo T7500, 4GB RAM, 160GB HDD) and runs like a dream still, still get the very occasional person asking if its new which generally causes me to silently go WTF?

I'll probably upgrade some time after it hits 3 years old, it's a nice laptop but compared to almost every recent laptop its ugly as hell.

My desktop has been upgraded here and there - the oldest component in use today is probably my wireless card at about 3 years old. (with the newest component being the optical drive and hard drive: 2 weeks).

As for my mobile devices: my laptop is about 7 months old, while my netbook is about 2 months old.

I bought my Acer Aspire One AOD-150 in June of 09. I love the little machine, its 2gigs Ram and a 10400mAh battery.

I have my Gateway C-120x Tablet with a Core 2 Duo U7600 that was bought around 2007.

Also a Dell D630 with a T9500 and 4gigs of Ram. I bought the computer around Feb 2008, but bought the newer processor in March of 09.

And the last machine is a Dell 1501 which is the oldest one I'm not quite sure how old it is. But its my Linux box running Ubuntu 9.10.

Other than the last computer all of them run Windows 7 Enterprise, which makes all of them fast as hell.

Well all the computer I ever had still run fine. My current laptop is going to turn 1 year and a half next month and my main desktop is kinda of a mix bag, because I bought it 2 and a half years ago, but I update it at least once a year. and my oldest running computer is a pentium mx 133mhz, with 32mb of ram 2 gb harddrive and 2 mb integrated graphic card from 1991 or 1992 ;)

My Dell Inspiron 8100 from 2001/2002 is still running fine. Hadn't had a SINGLE problem with it (no BSOD; runs Windows XP). Probably the most solid machine I've used.

I use to run Photoshop to design websites on this thing not too long ago. It has a 1400 x 1050 resolution, around 1 GHz PIII, and a maxed memory at a whopping 256MB!

I have a new notebook now, so I told the Inspiron 8100 that it can lay itself to rest. But once in a while, I'd press the power button just to see if it still boots and sure enough, it would boot up just as it has in the past. I hope my current notebook lives this long!

Laptop: just over 1 year (late 2008 MBP)

Desktop: I built it around Thanksgiving 2006; I've upgraded it a little since then (added 1TB drive, put in a geforce 250, and put in a new TV tuner that supports ClearQAM, runs Windows 7 RTM... also upgraded the monitor to a 23" Samsung not too long ago).

Both still run great and are fast enough for what I need them to do, so I don't have any plans to upgrade anytime soon. :)

AMD Athlon64 3500 Venice

XFX GEFORCE 6600 DDR2 512MB - died about 2 months ago - getting new one after xmas - running a Geforce 2 MX400 at the minute.

250GB Maxtor 6V250F0 SATA2 16MB & 120GB HD

Asrock 939Dual SATA2

Corsair Value Select 1GB PC3200

Running XP Home

So, mine is around 3 years 9 months old. Running OK, but then I re-installed XP about a month ago.

I've had mine for 2 years and a half now.

It works great and I'll probably go with 4gb of ram later on. The only thing is it's based on the G86 chipset, and all G84 and G86 chipsets were flawed by Nvidia so I'm hoping that this one isn't affected by it :ninja: The warranty ends at the end of next summer, so if I might extend it with another 3 years for peace and mind.

i have a compaq 910us laptop. 1.5ghz amd, i think its an athlon, cant remember. 256mb ram, some sorta onboard ati wth shared memory.

its from 2003, still works. i actually have windows 7 on it. runs better then xp.

then my desktop specs are i my sig. its like 4 years old
