Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted December 22, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted December 22, 2009 One of my hobbies is to travel the world, cities, or where ever. I hate being couped up at home all year around, so traveling around the world, no matter how far seem to interest me. Places i've been: Toronto (home town) Newfoundland (Canada) Florida (US) California (US) Tokyo (Japan) Osaka (Japan) Seoul (South Korea) Cancun (Mexico) Glasgow (Scotland) I plan on visiting a lot more cities and countries before I get settled down and too old. So why not make the best out of life. And that is my hobby.

the_architect
Unfortunately, being a student I haven't had the money to go to many places over seas. In fact I've only been to Vanuatu for a holiday recently. I have had the opportunity with work to travel around Australia though, I have stayed in many different motels in many places, it's great! To visit first? If you go to both, stop at south Korea first, than japan. If you only have the money for one or time for one, japan hands down is the better of the two. I would say go to Tokyo for the mind blowing experience. Osaka is amazing if you like to sight see the culture.

Nagisan
I have never been out of the US, but I have lived in 6 different states as my father is an Aerospace engineer, so he has to travel where ever they need him. That being said, if you travel to the US (or more specifically, the south-west US) you MUST go see the Grand Canyon. I have seen pictures of it before and they do not do it justice. Seeing it with your own eyes is just amazing. Its over a mile deep and in many areas over a mile wide and you can see all the way across it. Its simply an awesome sight. If you have not seen it yet and you are in the area I suggest you make a quick stop and take a look at it. I haven't seen much in my life yet (still young though) but its definitely the most amazing scenery I have seen to this date.
SyntaxError
I've been in 43 states, plus Canada and Mexico, entirely by car. Lived everywhere from Alaska to Washington DC and points in between. All before the age of 14. I'm 36 now and sick to death of traveling. It's high time to settle down and grow roots. Fred Derf Veteran Posted December 30, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 30, 2009 I surrendered my passport to some Chinese official who's name I didn't know nor could I possible pronounce. I got it back the next day though after eye-balling all the border guards at the Shanghai Airport until I recognized my guy. It was more difficult to convince the Dragon Airlines staff in Hong Kong that I would be fine without a valid Chinese Entry Visa.
