Fallout 3.

I held off buying it for soooo long. I broke down and bought it last weekend (late, I know). I've heard so many great things about it. I think my case was I've heard so many great things about it that my expectations were unbelievably high and it ruined the experience for me.

I actually thought it would be decent/mediocre. Then over a holiday weekend, I played for like 20 hours and beat the whole game. I turned out loving it!

PES 2010 for the Play station , I bought the PC version first and thought the level of the graphics on the PC was spectacular , the game play was remarkable and I thought the PS version was really disappointing , just a slightly modified version of the 2009 game and it was really an upset

Oh no you didn't, that's blasphemy!

Strange huh? I love the Baldurs Gate games, love the Icewind Dale games, but I just couldn't get into Dragon Age at all.

Seems to be a common trend that a lot of people don't like Far Cry 2 either. I'm curious, do you not like the game because it has nothing to do with Far Cry 1 (Read: absolutely NOTHING), or was it other reasons? For me it was a mix of both.

That X-Men The Last Stand game. I picked it up for ten dollars thining it can't be THAT bad. It was absolutely boring.

That and Call of Duty 3.

Crackdown - It's okay, but i don't see the fun in it - you hold the lock-on button and then shoot till they are dead, or just keep kicking them and then can never stand up and just die.

Gears of War 1 - single player was meh, multiplayer was extremely un-entertaining.

Dawn of War II - not my type or RTS, i prefer base building.

Dish Washer Samurai on XBL arcade - i bought it because the demo was awesome, ended up never playing it.

I never played Far Cry 1. But I picked up FC2 because it was going for ?5 one day.

What I didn't like about it was the fact that it was a bit too lonely and slowly-paced, and the whole Malaria thing.

Seriously, you'd think if you caught Malaria you'd abort your mission and spend a few weeks in hospital. :p

I buy so few games a year that I don't regret any of them because my research is done before I pull the trigger. However the game I was most disappointed in was MW2. Me and the clan were so pumped to buy this game and start our own server(s) that when the announcement came the air was sucked right out of our sails. To date only 2 members bought the game, one has grown to not like it and no longer plays, the other just got it recently and hasn't come to that conclusion, yet. Considering what IW did to their PC fans, they should be tied down to an ant pile, covered in honey and burned at the stake.

Then the poor harmless ants would die, it'd be better to push them into a fire ant hill, and watch all the fun!

dang dude, that's unfortunate! I'm having a blast with this game. Really easy to just dive into. I was skeptical at first, but it blew me away.

Yeaaah. It just felt so empty and devoid of life, the whole African warzone thing felt really out of place, the idea of gun damage, how weak the guns felt (on the 360 version, the controllor doesn't even vibrate when you fire, so unless you've got a subwoofer, that gun sounds like a pea shooter), the sheer lack of transportation (because if you flipped or damaged your car, that's it, you're walking the rest of the way), the whole stupid malaria thing which made no sense, the "call your buddy" thing (why can't I just keep them with me the whole time?) and just the total lack of story.

Well theres a few

MW2 - I still play it but theres been plenty of times i've lost my rag with cheaters. MW1 was perfect but IW just couldn't be bothered with a PC version, ie. no dedicated servers, no kick function, no server browser.

Operation Flashpoint - TBH I knew it would be difficult but to be blunt it's far too real to be fun, and the controls for tactical commands yet again is a console port *sigh* bearing in mind the original was a PC game, this is poor. no weapon selection wtf? nah I've wasted 8 hours on it, and really can't be bothered with it.

WoW - While probably the best MMO I simply can't bear the amount of time it takes to have a decent character to enjoy the experience, graphics are out of date, and the grinding is boring, people need narrated stories.

DOW2 - Dawn of War was a fantastic game, I still play it now. however the new incarnation is a good game, but as a hardcore RTS player i'm bored by this simple squad based managment. I loved the base building and they've removed it, theres not even a mode with it in. another simple formula which worked ruined!

Halo 3 & ODST - both frankly running out of date graphics with the likes of GOW 1+2 pushing the forefront, story from halo 3 was halo 1,2 rehashed yet again. really poor.

Games that I bought and loved;

Dragon Age, brilliant story, not an RPG player but i'm loving this.

Mass Effect, as above really.

Forza 3, excellent racer.

Crysis Warhead, loved the story, and it ran far better than Crysis.

Gears 2, awesome game probably my favourite.

Recently, Borderlands. Good in a way, but no one else I know has bought it, and playing it single player sucks.

+1 execpt i played with friends was too easy and single player was a huge let down.
