kingroach
I just bouht a clarion mind GPS/UMPC system.. Its supposed to have 800mhz atom cpu and 512 MB ram. Its supposed to come with a variation of Moblin 1.0 linux distro but I intend to install UNR or Jolicloud in it. I cant seem to find any decent GPS program for linux. In windows there are streets and tips/ garmin, igo etc gps program. Is there anything comparable for linux?.. is it possible to take out the gps app from distro that comes with it and copy it over to UNR? Elv13
Navit is the best open source I have used, so commercial applications also exist, but are hidden deep, as most proprietary Linux softwares. kingroach
After searching google for while,it seems like igo runs decent using wine under linux. Both Navit and roadnav seems very amateurish. There is also android port for this unit so I will look into that too. I still dont have the unit in hand so cant test anything yet..:( Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/861358-gps-app-for-linux/#findComment-592054196 Share on other sites
