PNWDweller
I have been searching everywhere online and haven't found anything just yet in regards to what I am looking for. I am looking for a folder icon (Mac OSX), which would show the outline of the folder similar to the stock ones in the Leopard, but make it transparent, so you see the outline but through it to the desktop. Or to be more descriptive: Very similar to the center one here on Deviant Art (He doesn't have a download for it that I can see) Is this possible to do in OSX with it's capabilities or is it a limitation. I can probably make my own in Photoshop, but also what program could be used to convert it? Edited January 7, 2010 by Medfordite

PNWDweller
Alright that would be awesome if you could! I did manage to find a download link to his folder icons. But finder doesn't seem to like it after I converted it to .icns format. Shows a blank document file. See attached. Are you using this on a Windows computer? nvm your screen makes me think so, if not Use img2icns http://www.img2icnsapp.com/ If you are on Windows I can convert the raw folder images or icons for you and make them work in windows
PNWDweller
I had tried using liteicon to apply it to the folder and rebooted. It still did the same thing. Interestingly enough though, I changed the generic icon to that folder icon before reboot and now all of my generic icons are showing as transparent. So, I created a new folder and have renamed it to my downloads folder now. I guess perhaps when trying to apply an .icns to the folder using the "Get Info" function it didn't like it for some reason. Thats why the zip i linked i made the folder with the icon already applied to it so you can just "Get info" on the folder rather than the .icns file itself Snow Leopard is really picky about icons now for some reason, not like Leopard was. You can img2icns tho to create folder with the icon already applied
