Rob Veteran Posted January 12, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 12, 2010 Guys please remember the overlay is just for YOU to visualise how it might look. What WE require is the image with no overlay.

Minifig
Presenting our first gaming scene. IF Neowin was founded in 2001, (contradicting Wikipedia..): Two for the UK people. :] Depending on the year that Neowin was founded. Also.. for your benefit: Scoreless. Can these just be uploaded like this.. or will the fact I added the overlay already screw it up? I'll have to re-do them again if I have to reupload them without the overlay. I also, shot Kol a note requesting his Seasonal shack as a Scene so that people like me who are using his seasonal shack as a desktop (see the desktop thread) can have a matching Neowin scene..
Kirkburn
I do believe the images have to be copyright free or completely free to use. I doubt anything containing logos or OS background come under that, unfortunately.

Minifig
~Snip!~ You gave me an AMAZING idea. Thank you! With header: Without: Granted, my Firefox looks different than the norm, but it's just to show off the idea.

Minifig
Maybe Neobond can make us an area where we Artsy types can discuss headers and stuff more so we don't cloud this area with ideas and etc. Just put up "finished" products here.
Brody McKee
I should really do a serious one. Later I will Yes, you should. And move the bear a little more to the right - centred between the tabs and logo ;)
KoL Veteran Posted January 13, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 13, 2010 Here are a few more I did with Seasons included. Some members wanted to see them. Here is the Download link. I don't know if any of the images are going to be used but at least they have a few from me to choose. Very nice submission guys. Damian OS are pretty cool. You should add a Vista/7 one. The_Decryptor Veteran Posted January 13, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 13, 2010 ...There's nothing stopping you using a Stylish rule in Firefox if you're desperate, but we have a brand to think of so we can't be allowing arbitrary images into the header that people could screenshot, share, and forever be associated with Neowin. Using Stylish is more flexible anyway, you can do more than just supplying an image URL. It's animated!
