[NFL] Divisional Playoff Picks

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't mind seeing a Vikings/Jets Super Bowl either, but I have a hard time pulling for Favre. Adrian Peterson is probably one of my favorite players in the NFL, so I wouldn't mind them being in the Super Bowl for him. I think they're gonna have their work cut out for them keeping up with Brees and the Saints.

The Jets/Colts game is really hard to judge...

Saints over Vikings:

I think that New Orleans defense will win the game if its a shootout. If the game ends being close, one big play from the Saints will win it.

However, I can't discount the stout Vikings defense. If they harass Brees all day, they win.

Colts over Jets:

This will end being a close game. But in the end, Manning will carry the Colts to his second Super Bowl.

It all depends on the Jets offense. If Sanchez plays mistake free, they have a chance, but I don't see that happening. No matter how good is the Jets defense, they will need at least some fair contribution from their offense.

Sadly, my Steelers ended their season with that dreadful losing streak at mid season.

Doh! Didn't make my picks.

Colts over Jets

Saints over Vikings

Jets are hitting their stride quite nicely, this game is quite close and fun to watch. The Colts focused on the run quite a bit in the first half.

Saints and Vikings should be a fun one to watch as well.

Both are now ringtones on my phone. Who Dat!

Colts are playing a great game today. With 5:40 left in the 4th, it looks like Indy will be moving onto the superbowl! I'm dying to see a colts / saints superbowl.

Something tells me Favre is going to pull it off tonight. And if he DOES, don't be surprised to see the Vikings go all the way. And yeah, Manning played a hell of a game.

Well there we have it, after one hell of a game it is the Saints vs. the Colts for Super Bowl XLIV. I hope for the Saints winning this Super Bowl. I am no fan of the Colts or Peyton. :)

Colts vs Saints

No matter how well the Saints have played, the Colts have not lost when committing 100% to the game (Week 16 & 17 don't count because the benched the team before the end.) This Super Bowl should be an incredible game. Too bad we have to wait 2 weeks for it :/

What an incredible, nerve racking, frustrating game. Wowza! Black and Gold Super Bowl baby!

Hahah, no kidding!! I knew this was going to be a damn good match up, and boy did it come close... As badly as I wanted the Saints to win, I gotta give Favre a lot of credit. His passes were amazing, especially after all those hits he was taking. Never stopped smiling from the looks of it either.

Just hoping the Saints stomp the Colts on the 7th. :)

This thread belongs under humor. Now that all is said and done, go back and read how defensive some people were and how sure the teams they like will win.

See, I'd never put money on the teams I like unless I was absolutely confident they'd win. Rooted for Dallas even though I knew they were gonna lose. Expected the Colts to make it. Saints vs. Vikings however was up in the air, as they've both played pretty damn good. Just glad the team I favor won. :D

Vikings made way too many fumbles, they were lucky the Saints didn't capitalise more on them. Favre took a load of hits too, don't think he could have taken many more, definitely looked tired - even at the start of the game.

The NFL OT is a bit of a joke too. Pretty much whoever wins the toss wins. They should use the college OT imo.

Not always the case. See the Packers-Cardinals game from the Wild Card weekend.

They should do XFL rules, put two guys 15 yards from the ball and have them race to it. First one to grab it wins. Hell, you could give some undrafted kid a chance, have him be your ball getter specialist.

At least get creative. I mean I know these guys are professionals and the obvious, don't complain about the coin, man up a stop that enemy offense. At least make the choice be athletic. At least it diminishes the notion of No Fun League, in my eyes anyway :D

And if you are curious about XFL, it was the defunct league by Vince McMahon :p
