bradavon
Are there any plans to release Windows Media Player 12 for Windows XP and Vista? I know it's built around the library concept but it would take much to back-port it. I understand there are Beta versions which work on Vista. These will have to support the legacy "My Music" folder structure. If not, do the download versions of WMP12 work on Windows XP, as well as Vista? I'm basically going to be installing XP on my Netbook and would prefer to install WMP12 than WMP11. Even without Library support it has a cleaner interface and how it auto-scans the Media folder for changes is very handy. Hani
Probably not. They usually release a new WMP version shortly after a new OS is released (as in the case of Vista). Scotishirony
They won't release it for XP and further development for XP vis software has been discontinued.
