Universal Focus Rectangle Remover - Updated

Since Windows 3.11 or even earlier, we had this ugly focus rectangle shown in almost every window, and most annoyingly, on items that are selected and have different signs to tell us they are in focus.

So I made Universal Focus Rectangle Remover - a utility that will remove those focus rectangles completely from your system.

The new version supports x64 and Windows 7 flawlessly, and should work with any OS from Windows 2000 to Windows 7, and probably future versions as well.

Installation is also easier than ever in the new version, just run the setup and the rest is done for you.

Click here to download.

Enjoy :)

Updates:

2010-03-12: Updated to work on Windows Server 2008 R2.

2010-02-27: Updated with x64 support and easy installation.

anyone know how to remove the ring from firefox?? I don't mean on the webpages, on the actually Firefox menus and such..

I don't know about menus and such but I used the stylish add on to remove the focus ring from tabs with the follow code:

.tabbrowser-tab {

-moz-user-focus: ignore !important;

}

---------------------------

RegSvr32

---------------------------

DllRegisterServer in RemoveFocusRect.dll failed.

Return code was: 0x80004005

---------------------------

OK

---------------------------

the same thing happens to me would greatly appreciate a solution
