From what I have heard it'll arrive sometimes in Autumn US Time/Date:

Its awesome to see Microsoft on the ball :)

btw, do you have any feedback so far as improved reliability regarding the beta of sp1?

Hell yeah :) Got my formatting stick ready to go!! Windows 7 rocks but i was just getting tired of it's stability. LOL. I didn't get into the IT business to sit on Windows XP cuz it's stable and all that. In our secret dreams we would be running beta everything but that's a nightmare to every CEO out there!

+1 Although ppl say its a lot stable etc , but in practice , i feel it is very fragile , like change any settings and BAM! Re install :( Anyways , i'll really dl this sp1 in first go!

Tempted to give this a whirl, but as a normal Windows 7 user probably not worth the hassle.

I assume you can update beta to beta SP1 installs, but clearly for final a format would be required/ideal.

I'm sorry to say, but if your Windows 7 installation is going from stable to unusable & requiring a re-install from just changing some settings, then you're clearly doing something wrong.

Windows 7 has been rock solid in my experience, but if they're getting ready to release a SP then obviously there are bugs to be worked out :p I wonder if there's a blog or a description with all the fixes/enhacements.

Edit:

Ahah awesome 1000 posts also

HAHAHAHA OMG ME TOO :woot:

By now there are around 400 bugs and hotfixes.

What if I don't want to.....? cry.gif

Look at his avatar. You better do as he says.

I also have had ZERO issues with Windows 7. I can echo that sentiment amongst all my customers and friends as well. If you're reinstalling or have errors then "Using Windows 7 a computer : you are doing it wrong."

Yeah, but come on, there are hundreds of fixes out for 7 and these do address real bugs and issues people are having. It's only reasonable that they be compiled into a SP. It's also good for businesses, as it shows that the teething problems have been worked out.
