:( USA won't lose all their group matches! Algeria and Slovenia will hopefully both be wins. England, well, time will tell...VERY SOON!

i don't care what anyone says, the states are going to surprise a lot of people this tournament. they are fast, decent amount of skill, amazing team work and good coaching.

Is it me or was the opening ceremony kinda lame? I think there were too few people and it looked kinda low-budget (which is odd because they seem to have spent a bit on other stuff).

It absolutely had nothing on the Beijing 2008 ceremony.

yeah I noticed that, also the stadium looked not even half full.

I really hope they take those stupid noise things away from people...they are annoying

Rest assured that there will be vuvuzelas(sp?) at every single game.

From Wikipedia:

Vuvuzelas have been controversial, linked to permanent noise-induced hearing loss, potentiality spreading colds and flu germs on a greater scale than coughing or shouting, and injury to pets who generally have more sensitive hearing and are more likely to run away because of being terrified by the sound
