Subject Delta
The features in that ROM look amazing, the need for it to go onto an EXT partition is a bit offputting though? Have you perceived any difference in the speed of the ROM because of this? +InsaneNutter MVC Posted December 2, 2010 MVC Share Posted December 2, 2010 This will sound a bit crazy but in all honesty I would actually say this rom feels faster! I think HTC have optimised Sense since 2.2 for the Desire was released. Previously I had the Modaco 2.2 R9 rom flashed, which is supposed to be optimised very well. Despite this the RCMixHD rom definitely appears to be more responsive to me, you will not find any speed decrease from my experience anyway. I have always used A2SD+ so my apps / cache have been running off the SD card for many months. I think the only difference now is that some of the HTC apps are also on the SD card. If its of any help I have a Transcend 8 GB Class 6 micro SDHC card, I would give it ago, I don't think you will be disappointed :) Also the htcsense.com stuff is a pretty nice addition: Activates the GPS on my phone and locates it fine: Message / Pin to lock the phone with: End result on the Desire: Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/893008-htc-desire/page/39/#findComment-593449700 Share on other sites
TheElite
Woah! HTC has really upped the game with Sense. Looks really good! As soon as the 720p is sorted, I'll tell my bro to flash it on his Desire. He likes his vid's. ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/893008-htc-desire/page/39/#findComment-593450006 Share on other sites

Yeah, I have the exact same brand of MicroSD card as well, so if it works with you I shall indeed give it a try, it looks fantastic. Subject Delta
The lack of Wireless N in this DesireHD ROM is a little annoying, and the market is a touch slow, but all in all the new features included in sense are extremely nice, and well worth the installation of the ROM, and speed seems to be acceptable. Dc'1
I'm currently on LeeDroid 2.2f, what's the best way to go about changing over to RCMixHD without losing everything? Thanks I suppose you could just flash it normally without wiping, but you need a EXT partition on your SD card (which if you don't have will require you to format it) Other than that you could do a backup (plus sometimes when I flash a ROM, my installed Apps from the Market reinstall automatically) I usually just backup my contacts (from the actual contacts viewer) and flash  Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/893008-htc-desire/page/39/#findComment-593454782 Share on other sites

+InsaneNutter MVC Posted December 3, 2010 MVC Share Posted December 3, 2010 Which wallpaper is in the first screenshot? Looks amazing. Its htc_wallpaper_09, I have uploaded all the ones from the Desire HD rom here. First attempt at RCMixHD just resulted in being stuck at the HTC bootscreen for 40 mins. Doing another full wipe and trying again. Did you wipe your ext3 partition too? It did stick at the HTC bootscreen for 5-10 mins after I flashed the rom. Hardcore Til I Die
Titanium Backup. The paid version lets you do a batch backup of pretty much everything. Thanks but it says that needs root. I have an unrooted, unbranded, unlocked Desire. Will all of my data still be on my phone if I root? Hardcore Til I Die
exactly, so Hardcore Til I Die gotta jump fully in to enjoy this HD masterpiece. Yeah I understand that. I was asking how to backup all of my data when Titanium Backup requires root. That's why I asked whether or not rooting deleted all data, which it doesn't, so that's fine :) Rooted using unrevoked and backing everything up now... Now I just need to work out how to flash the DHD rom :D Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/893008-htc-desire/page/39/#findComment-593457334 Share on other sites

You need to have the EXT partition at the end of the card, and the FAT partition at the beginning otherwise you will have problems. Can't be bothered with it all, just going to keep it rooted with the usual sense rom so I can use setcpu :) Thanks though!
