The_Decryptor Veteran Posted September 27, 2010 Veteran Share Posted September 27, 2010 OS X builds are now x64/i386, no more PPC support. I still don't think J?gerMonkey has had the same type of optimisation on x64 that it's had on 32bit builds, so it may be slightly slower in that regard. But still, it's nice to see (unlike on Windows, OS X presents a different API on 64bit as it does on 32bit, so drawing APIs and such can take more precise input, etc.) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/102/#findComment-593198166 Share on other sites

Super Reaction
once the blocker bugs are fixed which probably wont be for 1-2 weeks. super slow progress in releasing the product. even feature freeze is not achieved. the beta 7 blocker list has remained constantly around 25-30 for more than a week now. Corris Veteran Posted September 27, 2010 Veteran Share Posted September 27, 2010 Does anyone else have problems uploading with the Betas? I can't upload to Facebook, Imageshack, Photobucket, it tries but always fails out meaning I have to use Safari to upload anything. Nevermind it was user error, I had blocked the Firefox Plug-in container in LittleSnitch without noticing, works fine now, silly me, lol. iwod
I think Beta 7 will be the near final, with a quick RC1 just tidying things up. My guess is that they will release version 4 Final on 9th November to celebrate Firefox 6th anniversary Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/102/#findComment-593202960 Share on other sites
torrentthief
bug count has gone up from 27 to 33 over the past 24hrs. We'll be lucky if beta 7 is out by mid-October. The_Decryptor Veteran Posted September 28, 2010 Veteran Share Posted September 28, 2010 There's a total of 391 blocking the beta after Beta 7, trying to gauge the time of release from the number of bugs is the wrong way to go about it. dert07
For everyone who doesn't like the current look of the new Addonbar SoapyHamHocks and I created a userstyle for Stylish that gives it the nice look from the early mockups. The width adjusts to the number of elements in the bar and doesn't take up the whole space at the bottom. It also auto-hides with a nice CSS transition so that it doesn't obscure the scrollbars all the time. It is now available on our blog on http://boneyardbrew.posterous.com/firefox-4-addon-bar Preview: Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/102/#findComment-593205322 Share on other sites

mNiosu
I'm using this as well, but now the find toolbar doesn't show when I click ctrl + f Disabling all styles makes it come back, how to fix? As people said earlier on your thread the fix is adding "bottom: 0px;" to "#browser-bottombox" but the find-bar doesn't look to good. That's why I made this next stile for find bar (with the help of foxxyn8, cheers mate!): @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul); #FindToolbar .findbar-container { margin-bottom: -1px !important; margin-left: 5px !important; border-radius: 4px 4px 0 0; border-left: 1px solid rgba(0,0,0,.25) !important; border-right: 1px solid rgba(0,0,0,.25) !important; border-top: 1px solid rgba(0,0,0,.25) !important; background-color: rgb(207, 219, 236) !important; background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(rgba(255,255,255,.5), rgb(207,220,236)) !important; box-shadow: 0 0 0 1px rgba(255,255,255,.5) inset; } #browser-bottombox {background: none !important;} #FindToolbar {border:none !important;} #FindToolbar .find-status-icon:not([status="notfound"]):not([status="wrapped"]) { display:none !important; } They only work if you add the "bottom: 0px;" line and uses the color theme of SoapyHamHocks/dert07 style. Here is my custom version of their style: @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul); #addon-bar { position: fixed; bottom: -22px; right: 1px; margin-right: 20px !important; border: 0 !important; -moz-appearance: none !important; -moz-transition: bottom .7s 2s ease-in; padding-top: 22px !important; } #browser-bottombox { position: fixed; bottom: 0px; } #addon-bar:hover { bottom: 0; -moz-transition: bottom .7s 1s ease-out; } #main-window[sizemode="maximized"] #addon-bar { right: 0; } #addon-bar > #status-bar { margin: 0 !important; padding: 0 2px 0 2px; border-radius: 4px 4px 0 0; border: 0 !important; border-left: 1px solid rgba(0,0,0,.25) !important; border-right: 1px solid rgba(0,0,0,.25) !important; border-top: 1px solid rgba(0,0,0,.25) !important; background-color: rgb(207, 219, 236) !important; background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(rgba(255,255,255,.5), rgb(207,220,236)) !important; box-shadow: 0 0 0 1px rgba(255,255,255,.5) inset; } Feel free to edit the background color and borders/margins to your liking ...
