mancode20
Use the dev build of TMP. http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10888 Unless someone can open my eyes, there is no Multi-Row Bookmarks Toolbar in TMP dev build. There is a Multi-Row Tab feature, though. Sadly, it has a conflict with TabGroups Manager. When switching between groups of tabs, the tabs sometimes shrink to a much smaller size. It seems to fix once you hit the new tab button, or possibly remove it from the bar. It seems to be related to either TabGroups Manager, or possibly TMP's Multi-Row Tab feature. Now, I need to find a toolbar button extension for new tab. Also, that stylish script for Multi-Row Bookmarks Toolbar will slow down your browsing considerably. For example you'll notice that it makes a jerky, slow animation when closing a tab. I wish the guy that made Multi-Row Bookmarks Toolbar would update his extension for Firefox 4 RC! That seems to be our only hope. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/212/#findComment-593777448 Share on other sites
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted March 10, 2011 Veteran Share Posted March 10, 2011 more proof it's unpolished, go to the bookmark manager, they didn't even bother to reskin it, it still has the old style buttons As far as I know they weren't planning on changing the theme in the bookmarks manager anyway. Sem XL
you think that FF4's look is bad and you return to the out-of-the-90's-look FF 3.6? my FF3.6 has a theme that makes it look decent i guess FF4 will soon have themes that do the same just need to wait for them Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/212/#findComment-593777732 Share on other sites

mancode20
Open your eyes and look at the image below: No. Firefox 4.0 should be final by the end of this Month at the latest. You're the one that needs to get your eyes checked. The guy was asking for an option for Multi-Row BOOKMARKS on the BOOKMARK Toolbar. Not Multi-Row TABS on the TAB BAR. You do know there's a difference, right? Go back and re-read my post, remove your foot from your mouth, and kindly apologize to me. Thanks. max22
Oh my god the person who told me how much better side tabs are was so right! I can't remember his name off hand but know it when I see it. :) Can't believe I didn't listen to you sooner. You are so right! Now I see why people are saying they will never leave Firefox as long as side tabs are available! It is the best thing sense slice bread! Well ok sense tabs have came out. I love the organization! There is no way I can go to any other browser if it doesn't have side tabs like this. Thank you, thank you so much for letting me know about side tabs! You rock! xankazo
I like Chrome's look so I have FireChrome 4 :p You mean FXChrome, right? It is my favorite Firefox 4.0 theme so far. I've always liked Chrome's look and used Chromifox Basic for Firefox 3.6. And also just Chrome's look, not the browser, in case somebody else asks again. The_Decryptor Veteran Posted March 11, 2011 Veteran Share Posted March 11, 2011 Nope, 64bit Windows builds aren't supported by Mozilla (they're buggy with random things disabled) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/212/#findComment-593778286 Share on other sites

nabz0r Veteran Posted March 11, 2011 Veteran Share Posted March 11, 2011 I am liking it so far. But the biggest problem that I had was in 4.11/12b .. It just froze for a few sec up to one min, then everything worked just fine. After updating to the RC I haven't got those problems so far and I am happy. FF for life! :) Nope, 64bit Windows builds aren't supported by Mozilla (they're buggy with random things disabled) What do you mean? IF you mean there is no x64bit so I got it but if you mean it doesn't work in x64bit then I can say that I have 3x64 machines and FF is running like a charm there! :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/212/#findComment-593778756 Share on other sites

dnast
Anyone know why Mozilla decided to make hovered links show up on the bottom right when the Find bar is open? I don't understand the purpose and it's starting to get annoying. What do you mean? IF you mean there is no x64bit so I got it but if you mean it doesn't work in x64bit then I can say that I have 3x64 machines and FF is running like a charm there! :) He means the 64-bit version of Firefox. It won't be officially supported until Fx5. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/212/#findComment-593778810 Share on other sites
+Heartripper Subscriber¹ Posted March 11, 2011 Subscriber¹ Share Posted March 11, 2011 Anyone know why Mozilla decided to make hovered links show up on the bottom right when the Find bar is open? I don't understand the purpose and it's starting to get annoying. I find it annoying too, and dunno why mozilla decided to move it there. Anyway, you can use Status-4-evar addon to place the hover link where you want. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/212/#findComment-593778930 Share on other sites
kilara1988
Maybe because if the Find bar is open you can't see the hover link underneath it??? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/212/#findComment-593779192 Share on other sites
Elliot B.
is there a 64 bit download available? There isn't really a realistic benefit to using a 64-bit build of Firefox and where there is a need, I doubt those people would be using standard consumer/business Web browsers. The_Decryptor Veteran Posted March 11, 2011 Veteran Share Posted March 11, 2011 The only benefit to using 64bit at the moment is that you can access slightly more registers. But the other side of the coin is that there's random bugs, plugins don't work, random extensions don't work, etc. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/896934-meet-firefox-401/page/212/#findComment-593779222 Share on other sites
