Is there anyone still using MySpace today? Compared to other social networking sites, it's by far the weakest, has the least features, etc. And judging from a musicians perspective, there's already at least one better alternative (ReverbNation), full of free and paid features, and so on.

So, my question is, how and why are they still maintaining this site? I remember reading somewhere, about a year ago, that MySpace will "suffer" a massive makeover, but that never happened. unsure.gif

Haven't even looked at the site in years. Between the user 'styles' (complete with horrible backgrounds, fonts and colors that make things near impossible to read), the music player (thank you AdBlock), and other 'features', it just makes my head hurt. Just a more obnoxious version of Facebook, pass.

I dont check that cancer of a website anymore

Glad to say i was able to delete myself from it a couple months ago.... If only I could do the same for facebook, but I get too many concert and party info on there to let it go.....

Last time I accessed it was in like 2007 (8th grade), when I created an account, I admit it, to stalk someone. I find the site pretty awful and will definitely go down quickly unless they rebrand it, which I hope they do, but kinda doubt it. They've gone through like 2 CEOs in the last 12 months, I think that's telling.

It's good for bands/musicians, for regular joe schmoe not so much

Used to be, maybe. Just take a look at reverbnation, they're absolutely fantastic.

Anyway, does anyone have some info about that "remake" of myspace I was reading about?
