Smallville (Season 10 - The Final Season!)

Recommended Posts

Just finish watching the reunion episode. I thought it sucked. So then I went to tv.com and to my surprise I saw it had a 9.9 rating. Some claiming it was the best episode ever.

The season finale with the 2nd meteor shower, now THAT was the best episode there ever was.

Really? 9.9?

Just goes to show that when you have a show that usually sucks so bad, that when you get an episode that is just "ok" people go nuts for it.

So we got to see "Clark Kent" with the glasses. Why is this great? It's sad really, I mean it took till 10 season for that? Really? Ok so at the end of the show he levitated. One again, 10 season to get to that or in this case 200 episodes? Or 140 Hours or if you were to watch every smallville episode back to back it would take you 5.8 days before you even saw him float? Really?

Plus Clarks acting is some of the worst on TV. I call him Cue Card Boy. Because it always sounds like there is someone in front of him with cue cards showing him his lines, and he is reading them.

So how would I rate this episode? .... 3.5

WOW wagon... i usually agree with you but i think you need some glasses. your about the only one who didn't like it.

ratings are in and it was the best ever for the show. im wondering if a season 11 or spin off lois & clark is not being thrown around right about now? :woot:

As far as smallville goes, "Best ever" isn't saying much. In fact last season sucked so hard I stoped watching after the ghost episode and skipped the last 4 or 5 episodes and just watched the season finale.

I got to say, despite being a filler episode of sorts, that was one of the best episode of Smallville ever and yes, fantastic ending. I tend not to be too critical of the shows I enjoy, but hey, it's the final season. Let it get all mushy, in a nice way!

The 2nd meteor shower still is the best episode ever, hands down

Your alone in this opinion according to the polls.

I just don't see what was so great about the last episode. Are people really that obsessed with smallville, that they juice their pants at the sight of Clark Kent with glasses?

He's been in the glasses before, it's not that big a deal. The only difference is, this time around he was actually in the future, and was Superman at that point.

I don't think this was the best episode ever either. It was one of the better episodes, but not the best. The 2nd meteor shower episode wasn't the best either, but it's all opinions isn't it? :)

Honestly, I enjoyed the pilot episode more than any other so far. That's not to say there haven't been episodes that weren't kick ass or awesome. I just feel the pilot set everything into motion (before the mythology of the series went bat crap insane mind you) and had that "innocence" the first season had etc. There have been plenty of episodes where my jaw dropped or I was like, wow that was awesome. Pa Kent's death episode, the first JL episode(s) etc were all pretty darn good.

But, the episode where Lana gets turned into living kryptonite might top them all. :D

Largely IMO, most of the smallville episodes have sucked in some way or another. I have kept watching hoping for some glimmer of improvement. But to me the last episode really marked and defined who Louis and Clark really are unlike any other episode. Clark in glasses seems out of place now.

Smallville's executive producer Brian Peterson has refused to rule out an eleventh season of the show.

Earlier this year, The CW announced that the series will end after the tenth season.

Peterson has now admitted that he expects the show to finish but added that there is a possibility that it could be renewed.

"I can't say it's the first time the words 'season 11' have cropped up this year," he told E! Online. "As we've been pushing that it's the final season of Smallville, I think it's the final season of Smallville. We don't know [of any] plans, but we never bet against ourselves and the show."

Smallville continues on Fridays at 8/7c on The CW. [Digital Spy]
