Smallville (Season 10 - The Final Season!)

Finally... the secret is out

yes but in a rather lame way...IMO

It was a meh filler episode till the end came and I was literally in tears.

I sure wish that Metropolis is a go.. This is Lois & Clark.. I can not see anyone else playing them this Generation.

Nah, he said he is the blur, so they need to start the show...Lois and the man called the Blur....or The Burr....or Did you see that? it was the blur....

See, a series called Metropolis would be awesome. Clark being "the man of steel" but not quite Superman yet. You get the tights, you get the flight, heck you could get a variant of the suit - but he's still learning to deal with the twin persona stuff. And it would be a good way to ease Lex back into the storyline and remove some of the unneeded characters.

As for the above promo image... Who dressed Tom? He was meant to be a model before this, and yet has no idea how long a man should wear his tie (and the character Clark would certainly have thought about this). And what's with pushing his chest so far forward? He's giving Lois a run for her money...

Laura looks fantastic IMO as Supergirl in the photo that Rappy posted!

Here's an edited version completing the look!

It's a lousy Photoshop job, I know.....but I only spent around 10 minutes on this.

The only problem with a spin-off show is - would Tom Welling or anyone else from the main Smallville cast really be willing to do ANOTHER series run right after like this? I mean let's be realistic here, a spin-off show would surely not run 10 seasons like the parent show, but still 3-6 seasons isn't out of the question. Tom Welling would then have been playing Clark for like going on 16+ years then. That's a hell of a long time non-stop really. Sure he did a couple of little bit parts in movies here and there but nothing major. Hell, Brandon Routh has done more movie roles than he has lol

On the other hand, he gets a pretty bad rap for his acting on Smallville. Do you think he'll be able to get as much work outside of Smallville if he wasn't headlining a sure-thing like another Supes series?

Another 3-6 years of the same character might not be a bad thing considering it's entirely possible he does one or two movies and then fades away in to obscurity. I don't know anything about Tom Welling, but financial security may be a big thing to him. In that case I could easily see him play the character as long as he can.

The guy that plays Green Arrow on the other hand? They can cast that guy in anything. I would watch him host a show about paint drying and I would tune in every week. I love that guy.

With no replies, I guess everyone has abadoned the show altogther....meh, I'm not found of the last two episodes and foresee Smallville not doing well or being just mediocre in it's last Season. To me the whole series has rather been dissapointing.

You guys do know that the original writers/producers left right? So they were the ones dragging it out forever. Once that changed, I enjoyed the show even more and Clark started going in the right path. Lets be honest here though, did you really think their would be anything about flying (not counting the floating above his bed scene) until the last season/episode? I know it was going to be like that all along.

And why do people like the 200th episode? It was all about Clark letting go of the past. It was the moment where he changed (which is why he was floating) and became worthy enough to start becoming Superman.

I probably am watching and have watched about 25 shows in my life, if not more. Every season of those shows, there are a few episodes that are not so good. You have to look at it overall.

I didn't care for the episode. It felt poorly written and overall boring. Did we really need to have a Amish episode? <spoiler>I did find that Alexander is selling the whole Lex clone aspect with the whole dynamic of innocent child to insane villian.</spoiler> It would be alot better if there was less BS and more Darkseid IMO and I get the feeling the writers are now doing the opposite of what path they went with Zod.

Look at this promo image:

If this does not scream "SPINOFF SHOW" I don't know what will.

A spin off would be cool, like a new lois & clark series but without the cheesy acting. They can't just end the series without him becoming superman.

i loved the entire thing. i don't think lex is coming back, i think tess now that shes a luthor will turn evil and be the new female villian to superman.

Seems highly improbable. Ever since they added her to the show, her character has teetered back and forth between good and evil. I think she will genuinely stay good, but corruption though darkseid could change that.

Darkseid is the only true villian in this season and its slowly building up to that.

The show is moving very very slowly..... . A golf game has more excitement..sadly.

+1... It started up with a nice pace at the beginning of the season not its in "watch paint dry" mode. This episode was worse than the one with the Amish meteor-rock freaks a couple of weeks back. I bet by the time Darkseid get rolling well with have 2 or 3 episodes left with another Doomsday 30 second letdown like the final confrontation.

Battlestar was a good show, you may be thinking of Caprica, but yes BSG did have some slow episodes but quickly made up for it. Unlike this season of Smallville. Actually the whole series to me has been a big let down, I mean I had to accept that they were doing their own thing from the start deviating from the storyline making their own. But then it just is ridddled with stupid themes and slow drama...

But don't get me wrong, I keep watching hoping for the real superman....lol
