I have no rooting interest. But I will say one thing. This game is being broadcast live on ABC television here in the US and it virtually unwatchable unless the volume is muted. I'm all for cultural sensitivity, but these vuvuzelas are a joke! I'd hate to be in the stands. I remember previous World Cups when you would hear chants/songs/cheers. To me, that brings out the love of the game more than these damn horns. No wonder soccer/football doesn't have more popularity in the States.

I also thought I had heard that the broadcasters were going to filter these sounds out or at least reduce them. Guess not.

Truth be told, I am just a casual fan who only watches this sport every 4 years. But if FIFA wants the sport to grow in popularity, they need to implement better standards.

BUZZZZZZZZZZ

depends on who is doing the broadcasting.....cause its not so bad with the usual English commentator here...he does breath heavy in the mic though...but nothing to worry about.

Drogba up to his old tricks there....fall over...roll around...noone cares...he gets up and runs off!

yup, good ol' drogba.

and brazil is playing well defensively (weird... just brazil and defense in the same sentence)

Complaints will always be voiced when an instrument like that is used, it's horrible and every person who uses one deserves to be beaten to death with it and have an entire

choir give them a vuvuzela concert as they are lifted into the coffin and consequently into the cold, cold ground.

Yes, got a problem with that?

I was even being kind, what they really should do after beating the original owner of the horn to death is go after their entire family at least 10 generations in both directions and dump them in the

same grave :)

Like making it the most popular sport on the face of the globe? :D

But I'm all with you on the vuvuzelas being annoying and having them banned from the stadiums. This is not a characteristic thing from football, just some people who thought it be a good idea to have people blow on those in this World Cup. Now that the money is rolling with the sale of these things they cannot go back and ban them.
