Really? I read most of the news articles here and I've never seen the reporters write something without giving credit to the source by using an in-line link or something else.

Dude, since when can a person with 62k+ posts be lurking?! You nitwit! laugh.gif

it can be done :p but yeah the +1 was for the fact he subscribed to help and not for the extras...whatever those maybe! :p

Can someone please list ALL the features of Subscriber2 please?

We never get to hear of the secret forums or Beta Features? A little insight and more people would probably subscribe.

- Subscriber forum

- No ads on the site

- Early access to new features; for example: Subscribers were able to test Atlas before it was officially launched

- No flood control, longer edit time for posts

- The good feeling of having supported a website you care about.

Anything being tested now shiftyninja.gif? And is the Subscriber forum the Members metropolis (?) for Subscribers only?

Nothing is being tested at the moment, and the subscriber forum is separate from the Members Metropolis.

To find out more details you'll have to subscribe. ;)

Before i became a member of staff i subscribed to show my dedication, Love and support for neowin. When the tier 2 ad removal package came along, well that was a bonus!

If you ask me, Being a subscriber is not about buying features, its about supporting the site and getting some fun and features in return.

I don't subscribe for the extra bits - I just wanted to give something back after lurking for so long. The extra bits are nice though :)

+1 I subscribed for the exact same reason. I don't post much, hell, you could say I barely post at all, but I spend hours upon hours on neowin weekly so subscribing was my way of giving back to the community and the staff.

Yeah the bonuses seem small because we don't want to restrict members or force people into paying for content.

The Backstage Pass forum really is just a relaxed Members Metropolis that requires little or no moderation, which is the reason it's still there.

Ah. That's a dare.?
