I don't care if its a replay or in game. Either way it looks ****ing beyond anything we've ever seen before in anything...end of story.

Yeah, I've been getting in the mood as well by playing through GT4 last night. Spent an hour or two going through the special events (dirt and snow). :p

The annoying thing with playing GT4 on the PS3 is there's almost no sensitivity when you play with the triggers. You've only got to move it half an inch down, and it's up at full throttle. I usually have to accelerate with the right stick, but I still use L2 to brake.

Photomode will look that good at 18MP, unlike the ****ty photomode of competitors.

That's ok. Physics > Photomode in sim racing tongue.gif

Good thing GT5 has both then

As long as the physics improved from GT5 Academy (which were pretty bad), then hopefully.

Even Sethos will disagree there, they were far from bad.

No, they were not pretty, at least not compared to FM3. They were improved over GT5p though.

Indeed, handling in the Academy demo was great, could really feel the movement and the wheels of the car.

Full tuning and parts?

Looks more like a Garage than a shop but Tuning was confimed in this thread here https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/931000-gamescom-gran-turismo-5-breakout-session-full-details/

The remainder of GT Mode retains all the old favourites ? licences, dealerships, tuning shop, used cars and five different levels of series

Any news on how many full tracks (not remixes/reverses/etc) there will be in the final version?

Over 70 unique

There are 70 tracks, but they are from 20 locations. They will be making multiple tracks from one location. For example, they may have 5 track variations from the ring, 3 variations of the Top Gear track, etc.

It was confirmed over 70 unique at Gamescom (I'll say it again rolleyes.gif)

GTPlanet:

"As we were the first session and had a slight overrun, Kazunori couldn't take many questions. However, he was able to confirm that the number of unique courses available in the game is "more than 70″ – with the added scope of online Course Maker circuits – and that despite their best efforts to respond to criticism about standard car interiors, they were not able to implement cockpit camera (even one similar to GTPSP's) in GT5 – a source of some disappointment to Kazunori, who is never happy to let down his fans and is probably his own biggest critic."
