This was the final paragraph in the latest GT5 press release:

Gran Turismo 5 will contain more than 1000 perfectly recreated cars ranging from the latest supercars to the cars of NASCAR and WRC. Standing proud will be the fastest car in the game - and one of the fastest to ever leave the drawing board - the Red Bull X1. Earn your chance to drive the Red Bull X1 when Gran Turismo 5 goes on sale later this year.

Hopefully this indicates too that it might come this year...

Magic. :D

So we should hear about the new release date today, yeah?

Perhaps they will delay the announcement :p .

I just watched that rally footage. I'm not a great Gran Turismo player by any stretch of the imagination, but that guy looked like he may have been drunk. What the hell was he doing from the 1:20 mark onward? And I'm not going to lie, that invisible wall was a bit of a turn off. Minor nitpicks, though. I don't intend on hitting the wall during my races anyways ;).

Try racing while having the camera set in the view that shows what's behind you + the front of the car. The people that drive in those demos are usually trying to show off the graphics/damage done to the car, so they have to deal with adjusting the camera angle in the game while driving.

Uh they said they would announce it after Black Friday which is November 26th.

No, they said they'd announce a new date before the end of the month, and were aiming for a US launch 8 to 12 days after Black Friday.

Eurogamer and others then started predicting Dec 3rd and 8th.

It lists it as coming at the end of 2010, so nothing new in that area.
