Right, now we just need a guide for "The Perfect GT5 Setup If You're Not Loaded like Hamilton" and we're set. Oh, and a copy of GT5 would make things considerably easier. Here's hoping on that December 1st release date.

Just read through all of that, only showcases how much of an achievement GT5 is for the gaming industry. Such high standards at PD, rarely seen nowadays (Y)

I've never been a big racing game fan having owned like 3-4 racing games since the Snes, but GT5 is making me considering getting wheel to go with it, lol.

You are not the only one. I love racing but up until this year there was nothing worth while IMHO. Now with F1 2010 out and GT5 coming I finally bought a PS3, wheel and seat. I am having a blast with F1 and can not wait until GT5.

I want to buy a steering wheel for GT5. The Logitech Driving Force GT seems like a popular choice, but does anybody have any other suggestions?

This is the wheel I chose. Mounted properly it is fantastic. Outside of this wheel you will pay a premium. After extensive research it is the best bang for the buck. Sure the G27 is awesome but it is also 2x the price.

With that Driving Force GT wheel, is the PS3 version compatible with the PC? or is there a specific PC version?

Looks great and you can bag one on ebay for ?50 thanks to GT5 being delayed.

IIRC all the driving wheels support the PS3/PC.

Yes. The logitech wheels seem to be the most heavily supported. If you are planning on getting a wheel be sure you have a secure place to mount it. I had mine mounted on a folding table and that wheel jerked that thing around without issue. It was hard to drive and felt bad. Once I mounted it to my Playseat it is a whole new experience. The racing is fantastic and my times on Prologue and F1 decreased significantly.

Can someone just clear up what the big hype is with the Andrian Newey Red Bull car? It's not the fastest, most superlative car in the world because it doesn't exist does it?

I could design a car to push 400mph with a nice enough jet engine on the back. This is just for GT5 is that right? People are talking about it as though it's a real life concept car.

The fuss is it *could* be made into a real car, remember the GT by Citroen? it was designed in GT and then built into a real car (that ultimately failed, but still it was a mighty fine effort all round!). That I believe is what the fuss is about, that the game is such an accurate representation of the real world you can design a car within it and then bring it to the real world and it would work.

Great, thanks guys. Does it support the Xbox as well then? As that's also USB.

Don't know if I can afford one of those seats as well. How much can you get them for?

No. Xbox is particular with what it supports.

Haven't been keeping up at all... is there an official release date now or are we just all still assuming it is coming before Christmas?

I wasn't going to buy this, but now I will, and will probably buy a wheel too. Couldn't find the Mazda2 on the list of cars though. Would like to see what I can really do with it without the worry of crashing it in real life!
