niovhe
Filehippo.com keeps a repository of all the previously released versions of the application it hosts. So the search result is not that unrelated.
Calum Veteran Posted June 26, 2010 Veteran Share Posted June 26, 2010 Why are you going on just one search query? :s Bing is better on a lot of searches and Google might be better on some as well. To determine which is best, you really can't go off one query. Also, "Bing still sucks?" I wasn't aware it ever did; I've always thought it's better than Google. If you wanna use Bing you've gotta use the US version, it's the real deal. The other versions are just re-branded Live Search. Incorrect. What's different about the UK one in relation to the US one now? Since it was released it's been given more of the features the US one originally had; I imagine the same has happened with other countries. It has always sucked for me so far (I don't even use it. just check on it from time to time to see how much it still sucks). Google offers me everything a search engine should have to offer (including search suggestions).

MR_Candyman
^That's a good example of the only thing Google does RIGHT in my opinion. I'm tired of getting German and Spanish sites as search results. I'm tired of searching and not coming up with any relevant result until the 10th page. I'm tired of the top results being for other fake search engine results. I've learned to appreciate that while Bing might not be perfect, it is in general giving much better results.
Colin-uk Veteran Posted June 26, 2010 Veteran Share Posted June 26, 2010 must be the us version. this is what i get: looks pretty relevant to me :p edit: actually i think that first version is german.. lol.
Lechio
^ A youtube link on first place?? That made me LOL. :p A bit more accurate search but still doesn't come near the information Google provides.

Google offers me everything a search engine should have to offer (including search suggestions). Of course it's simply my opinion. I didn't state it as fact :p Bing offers search suggestions though; you seem to suggest it does not? Unless they haven't incorporated that into the Portuguese version yet? <image snipped> As others have pointed out, the UK and US versions of Bing provide some very nice World Cup niceties. I seem to suggest because it's the reality for me. You can try it for yourself: http://www.bing.com/?scope=web&setmkt=pt-PT No, they haven't incorporated that into the Portuguese version yet (or never will?). Sucks big time not to have search suggestions, something Google offers in all of its localized search pages.

manosdoc
I use bing everyday, US version, and it has never let me down. It is better good-looking. It is more modern in the fonts, pictures, videos presentation. What is still fail, is that Google trying to be bing unfortunately, with ugly buttons, ugly 90s layout, fonts and presentation. Nop thank you.
acnpt
I always found Bing/MSN to bring up useless search results. Sometimes it would show the correct site, but a bloody sub-page. Now it seems they have fixed the results for most big companies, or those companies have bought advertising. Skulltrail
Google does the same thing in some search results. I could look up a specific word and it will come out first with the movie titled something similar instead of a Wikipedia or a Merriam-Webster definition entry. I prefer Google because it somehow syncs with my Google Account and Chrome history to bring me search results that are most relevant to my recent searches or preferences in sites.
