iPhone 4 Camera issue. Greenish/Blue tinge with white backgrounds

Recommended Posts

that might be due to the artificial lightning in that room. fluorescent tubes tend to have a blue-violet-ish look to them when you take a photo and did not set the white balance correctly/did not set it at all. does that happen aswell when you take a sheet of paper out and photograph it in a not artificially lit environment?

No this seems to happen when CFL lighting is in play. still an issue

Eww.

Have you tried different settings, like messing with white balance?

Does this happen outside or only for inside shots?

That picture looks like it has a lot of noise in it. Mess around with contrast, saturation, and sharpness and the white balance to see if you can clear it up. If none of those settings do anything, then the sensor or lens on the phone might have something on it causing it to show that hue up... like oil on the lens.

taken indoors. only happens in CFL/flourescent lighting

yes. and no. many compact cameras have that problem aswell. it is an issue but definately not iphone specific. CFL lightning emits light in

frequences that the eye cannot see but camera sensors. ever pointed a random IR remote to your camera lense and pressed a button

on the remote? you will see something your eye cannot.

the CFL issue is most likely easily solved with a little adjusting in WB and contrast.

Yes, mine has the same problem! I was going to take it in to an Apple Store to have it looked and and possibly replaced, but I'm going to wait until a new unlock is out. :shiftyninja:

EDIT - whoopsies, sorry for resurrecting this topic.. Why did it appear in the Mini Spy??
