Well judging by the condition and confidence some of your players are gonna have after this I wouldn't be surprised to see you drop points against the likes of Birmingham or even West Brom.

However I can still see you finish anywhere between 4th and 10th,Roy's transfers have made sense so far and it may be a matter of time before you become a "team" again.

fernando not playing like fernando yet isn't helping either. we're rushing him... let him rest roy!!!

Manchester United fans are on red alert with the news that Michael Owen is set to pull on Liverpool's famous red shirt again.

The former Anfield hero is set to play 45 minutes of Jamie Carragher's testimonial on September 4, turning out against an Everton XI.

Owen has the blessing of Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who hopes the run-out will improve the striker's fitness and form following his injury-blighted 2009-10 season.

And yet, while the one-off appearance will greatly benefit a charity of Carragher's choosing, many United fans will take umbrage at seeing one of their own wearing the colours of their fierce rivals.

Don't think they can really call him one of their own just yet. Hell, he played more games for Real Madrid than he has for Utd.

But if they have a problem with him playing in a Testimonial (for chariddy), then they are more imbecilic than I thought.

Draw for the third round of the Carling Cup:

Brentford v Everton

Portsmouth v Leicester City

Stoke City v Fulham

Chelsea v Newcastle United

Aston Villa v Blackburn Rovers

Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal

Millwall v Ipswich Town

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Notts County

Burnley v Bolton Wanderers

Birmingham City v MK Dons

Liverpool v Northampton Town

Scunthorpe United v Manchester United

West Bromwich Albion v Manchester City

Sunderland v West Ham United

Peterborough United v Swansea City

Wigan Athletic v Preston North End

Ties will be played in the week commencing 20 September.

Spuds vs Arsenal :o

We've been poor this half realmad.gif some brilliant moments but overall poor.. the movement is bad.. no one is coming to support the forward guys.. the midfield cant hold the ball.. the defence apart from Vermaelen is just awful.. why is Rosicky not playing? After the last game Wenger still preferring Diaby over him..

from your round of posts, I assume we didn't play very well today?

i wouldnt say we were profligate in front of the goal post. Blackburn gave us a run for our money on a few flashes but i think diaby had a decent game. Rosicky has done well in the past 2 but he is too injury prone to be risked in a 'rugby' style game, at least thats what i assume AW was thinking.

Hope fabregas gets match sharpness soon. Vision was great but just seemed like he was lacking something on a pitch.

Cheers to walcott. :)

Awful defending.. Deouf pushed Koscienly away like he's made of paper..

RvP injured no.gif

lets hope rvp has filled up his injury quota for the season with this minor knock. /end wishful thinking

from your round of posts, I assume we didn't play very well today?

Wenger's post match interview rounds it up really.. we were too nervous in the first half.. in the second half the players were more relaxed..

About the players.. Almunia was ok.. but again was partly responsible for the goal.. even 12 year olds who are learning to become GKs know never to dive in with their feet when a striker is running in at you.. you either stay back or dive forward to hold the ball.. that way if you miss it you can jump back and come back in position to make the save..

Konsciely.. showed lack of experience and physical strength for the goal.. all through the match his clearances were poor and gave the ball to attackers way too often.. was caught out of position often..

Vermaelen.. almost perfect.. a rock at the back..

Clichy.. poor.. caught out of position often.. second half was better..

Sagna.. maybe his best game.. very good in defence and good ball in for the goal..

Cesc.. out of form.. had flashes for brilliance..

Arshavin.. almost disappeared in the first half.. second half was a lot better..

Walcott.. Alan Hansen made a perfect remark after last game.. he is brilliant when he doesnt have time to think.. thats how he scored.. but when he has time to think and shoot or pass.. he's poor.. doesn't have a footballing brain? Great movement and speed though.. plus he looked confident.. was our most dangerous player all match..

Diaby.. Made too many bad runs and didn't pass to open players way too often.. doesn't have vision like Rosicky, Arshavin, Cesc or even Nasri.. covered for Konsciely well though when he was out of position.

Song.. Ok game.. made some good defensive runs..

Chamakh.. Needs time to adapt to EPL.. had some brilliant moments though..

RvP.. Out for 10-14 days.. twisted ankle.. great pass for Walcott's goal..

Poor in first half.. in second half movement off the ball was better and defence was more solid..
