Chicane-UK Veteran Posted July 21, 2010 Veteran Share Posted July 21, 2010 Stop me if you heard that one before.... well, at least it'll give the Windows 7 phone some immediate market share, right? ;)
techbeck
I wonder how many of these will end up on EBAY.

Mr. Gibs
What a company giving its products to its own employees? Shocking! Its called dogfood or employee benefits

It's just the lower down employees are getting them now. If you've gotten emails from any Microsofties lately, they have: Sent from my Windows Phone
thealexweb
I wonder what percentage of Microsoft employees currently use Windows Mobile, most of these are defiantly gonna end up on eBay, nothing but a stunt to try and get some market share. Mr. Gibs
If you've gotten emails from any Microsofties lately, they have: I wish they would get rid of that across all mobile OSes, its just so stupid.
Owen W Veteran Posted July 21, 2010 Veteran Share Posted July 21, 2010 I wish they would get rid of that across all mobile OSes, its just so stupid. It's good in a sense that you know an email reply is short because it's off a mobile. Bad because it's just a bragging thing.
Lechio
Can people trade those for a Kin? It was a failure but it sure looked better than the Windows Phone 7...

jakem1
The "Sent from my Windows Phone" isn't proof that someone's using WP7. Windows Mobile 6.5 (and possibly earlier?) includes this in Outlook by default too.

Windows Mobile 6.5 (and possibly earlier?) includes this in Outlook by default too. Don't think so. All my WinMo phones (Kaiser, Imagio, HD2) always had a blank signature field. It was Apple who started the whole "Sent from my XXXX" thing... Oh might as well: Sent from my Dell Vostro 1700
Alan-
What's with all of the Windows Phone 7 hate? You know Apple gave all of their employees iPhones when it first came out, too. Sent from Alan's Eee PC 1000HE
Omen1393
Well this means there will be at least 100,000 WP7 users at launch, that's one way of increasing the market share rapidly. Sent from my Dell XPS 720.

Mr. Gibs
The newer Windows Mobile 6.1 and 6.5 phones do include that and I'm equally against it. Hmm, guess it was just the ROM that removed it or something. I remember on my Imagio it was "Sent from my Verizon Phone," but neither of my other 2 phones came with it. And you broke the "sent from" chain! How could you  Sent from my Dell Vostro 1700
