In the update last night Anet made it so you don't need to take crafting materials out of your collection to craft. Huge thumbs up to Anet for listening to the community!

yea heard about that from chat, actually checked this morning..

does ArenaNet actually do patch notes, and if so do you know where they are ?

They used to back in Guild Wars 1. But it seems like they don't like to actually tell us that info anymore with gw2.

Well most of the stuff they've been changing for the last 2 weeks daily have been on the technical side. Not really any point in putting out notes for that. I'm sure they will continue to put out notes once they actually start doing balance changes and that kind of stuff.

Hey everyone,

Please bear with us as we iron out our process for update notes. Here are the notes that we have compiled from the last 3 nights. I will try and post a daily update here as long as we are doing daily builds. As the build cycle begins to slow down a bit we will be able to create and maintain a more consistent form of update notes.

UPDATE NOTES ? 09.08.12

Traits

Engineer

? Updated the Engineer?s Firearms trait ? Juggernaut. New text for the trait: You gain 200 Toughness while wielding a Flamethrower. In addition, gain might for 15 seconds every 3 seconds, as long as you remain in this weapon kit

? Fixed a bug with Go For The Eyes. It can now only trigger once every 10 seconds.

Skills

Mesmer

? Fixed a bug with Signet of Illusions. It now give phantasms 50% more health instead of 300% more.

General

? Fixed a bug that should help resolve almost all of the broken skill challenges players have been running into.

? Ranger pet swap recharge is now the same in and out of combat. This closes an exploit with swapping ranger pets to generate very long buffs.

? Ranger pets should now immediately use their F2 skills when told instead of first performing an auto-attack.

? We discovered a bug in Monthly achievements that was causing some players to complete in August while others did not. We ae forcing completion on all players who are currently at 100% to even out this bug for those players who have completed their monthly achievement. In the future, monthly achievements will turn over on the first of the month at midnight UTC. Daily achievements also roll over for all players at midnight UTC.

? Fixed numerous events and event chains that were blocked.

PvP

? Max Glory cap per PvP match is set to 350. You now receive an achievement for reaching this cap in a given match. This closes an exploit that was letting players farm hundreds of glory per match by trading wins.

Story

? Fixed a blocking issue in ?Forging the Pact.?

Crafting

? Players can now do the production portion of crafting without having to pull the resources from their bank. Note: Discovery still requires use of the bank. This is something we would like to change but decided that getting part of the way there was better than making players wait for the entire fix.

? Fixed a bug with the recipe for Ginger Pear Tarts that excluded Dough from the recipe.

? Increased the karma costs of all Bulk Cooking Materials.

? Increased the refinement costs of all Wood Planks from 2 logs to 3 logs.

? Yellow Dye recipes now include Onions instead of Celery.

? Adjusted the ingredient costs on Dye recipes.

? The following Cooking Materials are no longer sold for Karma and are now acquired through drops, gathering nodes, or loot bags: Butter, Chocolate, Vanilla, Chili Peppers, Thyme, Black Peppercorns, Cinnamon, Bay Leaves, Walnuts, and Oranges.

1 blue salvage kit + 1 green salvage kit + 1 yellow salvage kit + 3 mystic stones (bought with gems) = Mystic Salvage Kit

It's a yellow level salvage kit with 250 uses. Yes. 250. And you can make it for about 2000 karma and 50s give or take a few silver depending on how much gems are going for at the time.

So I noticed the trading system was up and managed to buy materials for crafting and got my huntsman and leather crafting up to 75 last night.

Ya it was up all weekend I think. Some of the dev updates say they have the performance issues pretty much worked out. Now just for the prices on the market to come down A LOT :p

EDIT: Not sure if this has been asked, but it the market per World or Region?

EDIT 2: Nevermind, answered my own question.

The trading post is the Guild Wars 2 player trading system. It is global, enabling trade between all players across different servers.[1] The Trading Post works like an auction house where a player can sell and buy items without the need to trade with a buyer or seller in person.

I think it might be region because when i was purchasing Leather it says that there were Millions available.

Mrmm, two recent changes that people need to take note on, I can pretty much guess why they changed these:

* Increased the karma costs of all Bulk Cooking Materials.

* The following Cooking Materials are no longer sold for Karma and are now acquired through drops, gathering nodes, or loot bags: Butter, Chocolate, Vanilla, Chili Peppers, Thyme, Black Peppercorns, Cinnamon, Bay Leaves, Walnuts, and Oranges.

Anyone else notice that rather than fixing a flaw in Ranger pets they embraced it and removed proper functionality in place of the flaw.

Pets can no longer be revived using the ?F? prompt. This is because you can either use F4 to swap pets which will bring that pet back alive or you can wait until you are out of combat at which point you pet will revive automatically. We felt it was doing a disservice to Ranger players to incentivize them to spend a long time reviving their pet when it was a very inefficient thing to do and happened after combat anyway. This will also help clear up ?F? to interact functionality.

People had been switching out pets (i had done this) when their pet had died and now its just how things work lol.

That's what happens when people abuse game mechanics. And the buff stacking that people got with switching pets can only be considered abuse.

just hit 33 or 34 dont remember, does anybody in the Guild want to run Ascalonian Catacombs later tonight or whenever.

so far the Guild activity is abismal

I have noticed that, I see folks on every once in a while but no one is saying anything. also the guild has over 100 spendable points and no perks have been purchased yet lol.

I wish the guild log told you who was being awarded the influence points rather than just saying "a player"

Actually that was intended behavior, it's worked that way since beta. They simply removed the ability to revive a pet with the Interact key as well as switching to your other pet.

For the guild, I did purchase one of the upgrades. I don't recall which one, but it was one of the research ones. Unfortunately it takes forever to get influence since no one seems to represent the guild and do stuff together. Then of course you have to purchase the research upgrades first before you can get anything with any benefit.

Do you have to have the emblem on your armor to gain influence or just representing is enough?

When you hit G to bring up the guild interface, at the bottom there should just be a button that says "Represent", click it and blamo! :D

Ah, already have the representation set I just didnt know if you needed the emblem or not.

I hate trailers like that, it does not tell you anything about the game at all. If that video was all the advertising there was for the game. I would have never played it .

(and the game is awesome)

myself and billa have logged in daily and grouped since we both started playing, as we both represent the guild, probably where a majority of the points have come from, lol but im showing close to 600 points

I sign in each day and try to complete the daily achievement i thought that was supposed to help.

I also do nearly every event i come across.
