So they could've won fairly but decided to buy him instead? Sure, that makes sense. Is that why he also denied them a clear penalty? Oh, and the only reason Koscielny wasn't sent off is because the referee realized that Van Persie's sending off was harsh (not that it would've mattered anyway). Wilshere was also very aggressive, even after recieving a yellow card.

Not only is Barcelona the better team but they also deserved to win that night.

Besides you missing the point completely, no one is denying that Baca were/are the beter side and that they deserved to win, the decision to yellow card a player for waisting time with 20 or more min to go in the game borders on cheating! Approximately 1 sec was the time between the whistle and the man "kicking" the ball away!? There can be no justification on the part of the referee doing this! You can understand when a tight call is made and he needs to make a snap decision in the penalty area or something similar but in this instance the call was an easy one to make!

Bad refereeing goes on all the time, I'm a Spurs fan and last weekend in the Premiership we were lucky to get away with a lot of fortunate decisions. We should have been down to 10 men in the first 15 minutes and also Wolves had a perfectly fine goal disallowed. You just have to get on with it, it happens. If you play well enough you can still win. Fact remains even before the sending off, Arsenal were still played off the pitch.

I know mistakes happen, I've watched many through 10 years of watching football. But, this is the 3rd time Barca gets a referee in their pockets: 2 years ago against chealse, last year in their home game against Inter, & this year against Arsenal.

I am not saying Arsenal should have won, or that they were the better team. The manner in which Barca won is disgusting, with many many refereeing "mistakes" given to their advantage.

Good luck to Spurs, they showed great spirit yesterday.

At what point did I say it was justified? o.O I'm as frustrated as all the Arsenal fans, I was expecting more from Wenger's side but the ref definitely ruined the game. And I wasn't comparing two bad calls, I was simply trying to point out of the fact that not all the calls were "going their way".

LOL - you actually think the ref was in Barca's pocket during the Inter game? If anything, that red card pushed Inter even more behind. Watch Milito's offside goal (first leg), or Toure's contraversial "handball" in the second leg.

Add to that a Sneider penalty on Alves not called in the first game, with the offside goal would be a 2-2 and things would be different in the second game. and if we talk about the first game against Arsenal, there were a legal Messi goal canceled by the ref, which would have been 0-2, and some papers are even talking about a penalty on Pedro (0-3) but i don't remember this one.

Referees give and take, it depends on the day. but saying that Arsenal would have passed with 11,come on, seriously, they didn't have a chance in 56 minute with 11, not even one.

Wenger should tell us why he didn't play as does usually, the nice football the Arsenal is famous to make, instead of parking the bus and waiting for the miracle to happend...

good result for man utd there (Y)

And I hated seeing ManU progress.

why as an Arsenal fan you must be thinking good Man Utd are going to be over run with games that their title race will be effected!

And I hated seeing ManU progress.

Well considering how biased that Spanish ref was against us, we deserved to go through. Is there any UEFA ref that isn't biased against English clubs?
